A Window of Mercy: Will the Church Rise or Retreat?
God has opened a unique window of mercy for our nation, but will the church rise to the challenge or retreat in comfort? In this video, inspired by 2 Kings 13, we explore the pivotal choice the church faces today. Will we respond like King Joash, striking the ground half-heartedly, or will we rise in bold faith, striking six arrows into the ground, seizing this moment to claim victory over the darkness in our culture? With fresh freedom secured through recent events, the church has a rare opportunity to move with zeal, resist evil, and secure long-term gospel influence. Don’t let this window of mercy slip by-now is the time for bold action. Will the church rise, or will we retreat? Watch this video to find out how we can step forward in faith and make the most of this crucial time.

I just want to know that since God gives me the ability to believe and if i do of my own freewill, then why would jesus say ye must be born again. I can save jesus alot of trouble in making me born again for I myself believe in jesus as god commands thus ensuring me the greatest truth of the gospel. If you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart than there is no need for a rebirth. God already gave me that ability.

Why the need for a rebirth. I have the faith to believe therefore i need no rebirth. Christ does not have to worry about me amaking me born again for i can keep the commandment to believe on the lord jesus thus a rebirth on my account is not needed

I’m NOT a Calvinist, my point is focused on the fact you believe one can lose salvation. Since you believe this, how can your stance on ANYTHING be relevant? IF YOU BELIEVE you can remove YOU from Gods hand, then you believe you can make God a lier, God can’t lie, so your god is a false God, therefore you are an idolator. I’m mean really.. A Christian (born again in Christ) is a person who has fully trusted in Jesus Christ as the only Savior and therefore possesses the Holy Spirit (John 3:16; Acts 16:31; Ephesians 2:8-9). So, with this definition in mind, can a Christian lose salvation? It’s a crucially important question and those that proclaim you can, do they really know who the Son of God is, the absolution of what His sacrifice was and the certainty of what that gift means? Perhaps the best way to answer it is to examine what the Bible says occurs at salvation and to study what losing salvation would entail: •A Christian is a NEW CREATION. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” (2 Corinthians 5:17, NKJV). A Christian is not simply an “improved” version of a person; a Christian is an entirely new creature. He is “in Christ.” For a Christian to lose salvation, the new creation would have to be destroyed. •A Christian is REDEEMED. “For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect” (1 Peter 1:18-19). The word redeemed refers to a purchase being made, a price being paid. We were purchased at the cost of Christ’s death. For a Christian to lose salvation, God Himself would have to revoke His purchase of the individual for whom He paid with the precious blood of Christ. •A Christian is JUSTIFIED. “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1). To justify is to declare righteous. All those who receive Jesus as Savior are “declared righteous” by God. For a Christian to lose salvation, God would have to go back on His Word and “un-declare” what He had previously declared. Those absolved of guilt would have to be tried again and found guilty. God would have to reverse the sentence handed down from the divine bench. •A Christian is PROMISED ETERNAL LIFE. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). Eternal life is the promise of spending forever in heaven with God. God promises that if you believe, you will have eternal life. For a Christian to lose salvation, eternal life would have to be redefined. The Christian is promised to live forever. Does eternal not mean “eternal”? •A Christian is marked by God and SEALED by the Spirit. “You also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession-to the praise of his glory” (Ephesians 1:13-14). At the moment of faith, the new Christian is marked and sealed with the Spirit, who was promised to act as a deposit to guarantee the heavenly inheritance. The end result is that God’s glory is praised. For a Christian to lose salvation, God would have to erase the mark, withdraw the Spirit, cancel the deposit, break His promise, revoke the guarantee, keep the inheritance, forego the praise, and lessen His glory. •A Christian is guaranteed GLORIFICATION. “Those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified” (Romans 8:30). According to Romans 5:1, justification is ours at the moment of faith. According to Romans 8:30, glorification comes with justification. All those whom God justifies are promised to be glorified. This promise will be fulfilled when Christians receive their perfect resurrection bodies in heaven. If a Christian can lose salvation, then Romans 8:30 would be in error, because God could not guarantee glorification for all those whom He predestines, calls, and justifies. •A Christian cannot lose salvation. Most, if not all, of what the Bible says happens to us when we receive Christ would be invalidated if salvation could be lost. Salvation is the gift of God, and God’s gifts are “irrevocable” (Romans 11:29). A Christian cannot be un-newly created. The redeemed cannot be unpurchased. Eternal life cannot be temporary. God cannot renege on His Word. Scripture says that God cannot lie (Titus 1:2). Two common objections to the belief that a Christian cannot lose salvation concern these experiential issues: 1) What about Christians who live in a sinful, unrepentant lifestyle? 2) What about Christians who reject the faith and deny Christ? The problem with these objections is the assumption that everyone who calls himself a “Christian” has actually been born again. The Bible declares that a true Christian will not live a state of continual, unrepentant sin (1 John 3:6). The Bible also says that anyone who departs the faith is demonstrating that he was never truly a Christian (1 John 2:19). He may have been religious, he may have put on a good show, but he was never born again by the power of God. “By their fruit you will recognize them” (Matthew 7:16). The redeemed of God belong “to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God” (Romans 7:4). Nothing can separate a child of God from the Father’s love (Romans 8:38-39). Nothing can remove a Christian from God’s hand (John 10:28-29). God guarantees eternal life and maintains the salvation He has given us. The Good Shepherd searches for the lost sheep, and, “when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home” (Luke 15:5-6). The lamb is found, and the Shepherd gladly bears the burden; our Lord takes full responsibility for bringing the lost one safely home. Jude 1:24-25 further emphasizes the goodness and faithfulness of our Savior: “To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy-to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.”

Romans 9:19-21 You will say to me then, "Why does He still find fault? For who can resist His will?" But WHO ARE YOU, O MAN, TO ANSWER BACK TO GOD? Will what is molded say to it's molder, "Why have you made me like this?" Has the potter no right over the clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for dishonorable use? ESV Maybe you should stop leaning so much on your own understanding, and have faith that God knows what He is doing. You have NO RIGHT to tell God what is right and what is wrong.

This is one of those false dichotomies. Nowhere does the Bible say that saving faith is a gift but it does say that grace is a gift. My faith is a response to the Spirit of God and the declaration of the gospel. God initiates, and I respond. It’s crazy to think that we could get hung up on faith being a work. My faith is in Christ, who forgives, saves, cleanses, and keeps! When total depravity equals total inability, we cancel out large portions of the entire Scriptures. At the end of the day, the most important reality is, does my faith work? In other words, since having faith in Christ, do I have victory over sin or do I still live like a sinner? If my theology is giving excuse for sin in my life, I have created a theology that is divorced from the Bible message. The new testament privilege and standard is victory over willful sin! There is nothing to boast in with that victory. If you are living in that victory, you know it was a direct result of the work of Christ in your heart and life! You know who you were before Christ and you know who you are now after surrendering to him. If we would rather argue for ongoing sin in our lives, we have a very low view of Christ, and the power of his atonement!

Don't say that Jesus ever paid for sins, or that God poured retribution on Jesus, that's a distraction! God was not putting His hurt into the Lamb, but He was washing sins away from us. (His blood takes it down the drain.) His limited body was given to put away our sins. Our sins are put on His head, laid on Him, so He bears them, and takes them away- just like OT sacrifices. When He dies, sin dies, thus He's our sin. When He dies our cursed dies, thus He's our curse. You don't punish a curse, you remove it. Jesus was also cursed and abandon to death to perform this removal with His flesh. Sins died with Him. He's our sacrifice so that God is no longer wrathful with us. Like the goat is cut off, so that the congregation members are not cut off. We no longer bear sin in the mind of the One offended, sin was wiped, hidden from His memory more than you can know, not paid, because again what was against us, was nailed to the cross for all to see.

We still wrestle with the flesh as the spirit lives in us! We are still Sinners. We have a Saint/ Sinner reality. Do yall realize to not sin is to perfectly obey the law of God 100% of the time. No one does. We all Fall short every single day. We need His Mercy and Grace every Single day! Are you saying that Peter, Paul, James, King David Didn’t fall into Sin after Believing in Jesus Christ? They all did. You’re not saved by what sins you have or don’t have. You are saved by believing or in another word trusting that Jesus Christ is going to save you! I agree that we need His grace daily but the New Testament does not refer to the Saved as sinners. They are from that point called saints. The New Testament standard and privilege is victory over willful sin. We are not to trust in our own works but in God’s mighty power that empowers and keeps us moment by moment. It is His power that keeps us victorious but that is only true as we walk in obedient faith.

Obedient faith is a faith that results in obedience - faith without works is dead. If we say we are saved and do not keep his commandments we are at the very least on dangerous grounds. The proof of genuine salvation is that we keep Christ's commandments and they are no longer grievous to us. We are either self-deceived or hanging in the balance of God's scales of justice. To any Calvinists reading this I would ask you. Is this the Loving God you follow? This Calvinist bedtime story is absolutely correct to Calvinism. It is a sick and perverted view of God. It is a Demonic doctrine and a Cult! Get out of it! Little Johnny, God has predestined the minority of people to be saved and go to heaven forever, and He has predestined the majority of people to be eternally damned and burn in the fires of hell. We have no idea, little Johnny, if God has predestined you to be forever damned or forever saved. We love you, little Johnny, but we accept the fact that God might not love you, and that He may have plans to send you to hell for your future sins. If you do find yourself one day burning in hell because He hasn’t elected to save you, just remember that we will always love you, even if God hates you. Take comfort knowing that we are not like God. We will be in heaven forever only because we were unconditionally chosen for salvation before we were born. That would be the only reason that we won’t be in hell with you if you find yourself there. It won’t be because of anything we did. So also take comfort in knowing that. It may not seem fair, but who are we to judge God? So again, if you find yourself in hell, remember that we will always love you as we forever worship the God who loved us but who hated you, the God who sent His Son to die for us but not for you. Please, we ask, don’t let it bother you-if you find yourself in hell-that we love the God who hated you and showed you no mercy. We must accept the fact that God is sovereign, and He does what He pleases. Will you teach that to your children or grandchildren? Watch their spiritual progress over the ensuing years. I suspect that your answer will be “never.” But why not? Its easy to call yourself a Calvinist but when it comes to saying it anyone can see the hideousness of it. TRUTH IN LOVE

Election is twisted by the Calvinist mind to fit their twisted Cult! A good example is the cancelling their hero Steve Lawson's adultery! Calvinists should be praising Steve Lawson for what he did in gods service to that woman! After all god forced him to do it. “The devil, and the whole train of the ungodly, are in all directions, held in by the hand of God as with a bridle, so that they can neither conceive any mischief, nor plan what they have conceived, nor how muchsoever they may have planned, move a single finger to perpetrate, unless in so far as he permits, nay unless in so far as he commands, that they are not only bound by his fetters but are even forced to do him service” (John Calvin, Institutes of Christian Religion, Book 1, Chapter 17, Paragraph 11) “there is no random power, or agency, or motion in the creatures, who are so governed by secret counsel of God, that nothing happens but what he has knowingly and willingly decreed” (John Calvin, Institutes of Christian Religion, Chapter 16,) “Nor ought it to seem absurd when I say, that God not only foresaw the fall of the first man, and in him the ruin of his posterity; but also at his own pleasure arranged it.” (John Calvin, Institutes of Christian Religion, Chapter 23,) (1689 Baptist Confession) “The almighty power, unsearchable wisdom, and infinite goodness of God are so thoroughly demonstrated in his providence, that his sovereign plan includes even the first fall and every other sinful action both of angels and humans. 11 God’s providence over sinful actions does not occur by simple permission. Calvinism is "Total depravity." also known a "Deformed Theology" Keep up the good work Sir on your channel! Calvinist bed time story: Little Johnny, God has predestined the minority of people to be saved and go to heaven forever, and He has predestined the majority of people to be eternally damned and burn in the fires of hell.

If we are to boast let us boast in the cross of Christ that we may provoke others to jealousy that they may be saved. Because God commands all to repent. To say we can boast against others for putting our faith in Christ is like saying a prisoner can boast against another prisoner for repenting and receiving a pardon. This is a straw man of Calvinists in my opinion as I've never met another believer who says they can "boast for choosing God".

Christians have become so obsessed with things like eternal security that they blow off plain scriptures and frame everything as a works salvation. This is a dangerous game to rest assured that you can never forfeit your salvatiion. It goes directly against half of the New Testament. It is not a grace verses works battle. It is all about having real grace and real repentence. We do not lose our free will once we are saved. We have the ability to do every evil thing we did before we were saved. Stop ignoring scripture and God's warnings to those who are saved and not be like a dog that returns to his vomit. We have been given the manna from heaven (Christ), this is what we must be consummed with, not lusts. If we stay close to Christ we will never fall. 14:55

Wow. The pride and arrogance it must take to publicly critique a system of theology like this that you obviously haven’t spent any time trying to understand. I would recommend taking up a basic systematic theology text from a Reformed perspective to at least get a handle on what you’re criticizing. And, not only that, but read biographies of the Calvinist saints in centuries past, like David Brainard, John Bunyan, C.H. Spurgeon, R.C. Sproul and see how these theological principles worked themselves out in individual lives lived for Christ.

No doubt the first three were great soul winners and that fact is gladly admitted. However, Augustinian/Calvinism has no historical background in the Early Church until the days of Augustine. The problems raised in the video are real problems for those wrestling with this tragic situation. If God ordains all things, why did He ordain Lawson to fall and hurt so many people? If Lawson never repents, does that mean that the Reformed movement was following and promoting a man who was never "chosen by God"? This is just the tip of the iceberg. It is also noted that the words spoken in the video were a thousand times kinder to Lawson than he has been to those on the Arminian side of the theological fence. Maybe Lawson's arrogance and hypocrisy caught up with him?

    • @TadJohnson
      @TadJohnson 3 місяці тому

@@berwickgospellight9248 the situation with Lawson is sad and frustrating enough, without internet hacks using it as a springboard to critique a system they don’t understand. Reformed theology doesn’t pretend to be able to delve the depths of God’s hidden providence. We don’t know why God does all the things that he does. But we can say, with confidence, that God has ordained this circumstance for the good of his people. It may be a frowning providence, but it is providence still.

    • @GodsResistancePress

This is the default reply from most Reformed or Calvinists whenever there system is critiqued: "You do not understand it properly," or, "You're so full of pride." The problem addressed in the video is the logical and practical implications of the Calvinist system in everyday life. There is no misunderstanding of the Calvinistic system. I have read much from Calvinists, including confessions. The problem is not a misunderstanding of what Calvinists or Reformed faith teaches. The problem is how any honest thinking person could sit with the logical conclusions of their position in light of Scriptures and the full revelation of the Character of God.

You are also thinking you are right and are judging Lawson. If you are also still sinning, you are just like him and like all other sinners. Every sinner is dead, lost, slave of sin, of the devil. However, Jesus is able to set us free indeed, to deliver us perfectly or to the uttermost, to keep us from stumbling, to give us victory over sin, etc. If we still sin, we have not seen or known God. If we truly knew Him, He would have delivered us from all sin If we knew the truth, the Truth would have set us free. If we walked in the light, we would not have stumbled. We find full deliverance and cleansing only through the cross and blood of Jesus according to Zech 12:10-13:9, Acts 2-4, 9, 1Pet2:24-25. Agree 100% However missing the vital and essential role of the cross and blood of Jesus because if righteousness was possible without the cross cross, Jesus died in vain. Gal 2:21. How does the cross and blood of Jesus do this? Zech 12:10-13:9, Acts 2-4, 9 and 1Pet2:25-25 say how. Jesus bore our sins in His body on the cross. The Holy Spirit causes us to look up to Him and see it was I that pierced and murdered Him with every sin. If we confess this with deep mourning, repent, make right, get baptized, He forgives, washes, cleanses, delivers is from all sin through this blood we admit flowed due to sin, fills us with His HOLY SPIRIT, makes sin stop and makes us live righteous and holy, heals us, stops us going astray, shepherds us and oversees our souls. Without admitting you have shed Jesus' blood with every sin, there is no forgiveness or deliverance of sin. All this is by grace through steadfast faith in Jesus and the scriptures that the above is true and possible. We deserve the death penalty for every single sin because it murders Jesus and there is forgiveness and total deliverance available.

Very well done. I agree wholeheartedly and believe the same. By believing this and that Jesus is able to deliver is perfectly, He will graciously give it as a gift to us as we have believed, not by any own works - but believing HIM. HOW? What essential role does the cross play in us to find this perfect holiness? Zech 12:10-13:9, Acts 2-4 and 1Pet2:24-25 say it. By sinning and without this perfect holiness, we pierce and murder Jesus. By Confessing this with remorse, repentance and restitution, He forgives, cleanses and delivers us from all sin and fills us with His HOLY SPIRIT. Then we can live holy lives.
