BSON - Binary Json was the next WITSML deal I think…. The problem with WITML is that you are sending a document, not a simple data value. WITS 2.0 needs to have point of origin, value, time measured and time received….. events can be time shifted if the aggregating computer is out of time sync. even if it forced a clock sync behind the scenes. Point of origin is useful for differentiating between systems that independently track a parameter, say MWD encoder depth, MWD SPP.

theres really no way that people wont be out here on the rigs. Too many things go wrong all the time. What AI is going to do is free us up to do other tasks and compliment what we do to make us more efficient. Some tasks might be replaced, but its the worst possible industrial environment, things wear out and break quickly.

Awesome decoding technology! But how come you are the only ones in the MWD industry to come up with this system?

We run decoders with this feature for a quite a while.

Sound interesting, people used to say manual decoding is difficult for a field hand, and tried to sell their obsolete decoders:) what they say now? Manual SYNC is a must have in US market, some other decoders already have it for almost 10 years now and went even further.
