i shown you what to do ? just undo the 2 bolts holding it in just make shore u mark the location of old bolt so u no its all in same place as when you remove it then just refit ur new one and replace ur bolts job done

@nickhornblow537 sorry bro but I watched your video and attempted it and where you faded in and out you all of a sudden changed position. I was stressed out at the time because I couldn't get the bolt off. What I was looking for is like you said, you have to mark that washer because that is your fixed point. Then, all of a sudden you have your jack with some wood propping up something. It wasn't until I watched another video and saw exactly how to do it all. It's not easy doing the job and making videos. All the hard work and effort you put in. Are you able to upload it again or change the video? I can get you any software you like to remove the watermark. People use davinci which is free but complicated. Power director is easy for that stuff. Then talk us through it rather than the music. How did you jack the car? What did you need? 2 stands? Where do you jack the suspension? What I could do mate is make a video myself doing it on a ford mondeo. Send it to you so you can do the voice over and maybe upload it for yourself? I feel a bit bad mate but always want to help.

Not really much to show doing a top mounts remove the strut compress the spring remove the top mount then replace

I would if i was looking for a new one. but That's up to you my friend my smax as been an amazing car still going strong one just started with a bit of rot on rear sill just near rear arch the only problem I have had is the top mounts have gone again on my car so need to sort that and door timing belt n water pump but been a great car

Remove all the metal clips and unbolt the window wipers then take the top plastic off and un bolt ur wiper motor move them out way and then you can un bolt your suspension tower

Reason they want £500 is the strong probability the eccentric cam bolts and the lower bolt bushings will be seized. Good luck if you come across that on the driveway…

@barryshitpeas5837 yeah that is true ..when they seized up it's a nightmare when you need to grined the eccentric cam bolt off. but its not to bad if replacing the arm and new cam bolts .but definitely a pain if your on a drive way .I'm not a mechanic and can see why they charge what they charge

@thurston383 yeah it's a 2006 2l so no dpf . It's mad init I have a 2008 for kuga with same engine and has a dpf and kicks more soot out than the smax

@@nickhornblow537 I’ve got a 2011 mondeo, whistles but no “woo” did debate dpf delete but not really worth the risk

@thurston383 yeah pal not really worth the risk .my 2008 2l kuga don't got a little bit of a woo don't would like the smax I'm tempted to remove the dpf to see what it sounds like lol my smax I've had it 2 years brought it from a garage the guy took it in part x had a leak on injectors so I got it qwite cheap I brought som new injectors went to fit um turned out the injectors and rail was just lose so titend them up bin fine ever since

I think they are all the same pal but I'm not 100% sure I'm sure someone on mad max's group on Facebook will have more information than me I only have a Haynes manual but only goes from 2006 /2015

Im glad you enjoyed it .but I jack the wishbone up till it was level and titend all the bolts to mimic it being sat on all 4 wheels as that is the way its recommended and still going strong 4 years later

You need to spray it with wd40 or penetrant let it soak then work it back n forth if you can get old of a blow touch that will help ..... my brother in law had to cut is off n replace with new

Shock came out nice and easy pal. spring was easy to put a jack under it to take load off then wen you got bolt out lower jack to pull string out hope that helps you mate
