DR. STRANGELOVE: How Close to the Realities of Nuclear War?
unfortunately they are still doing that but with non public people which lives they exploit
Crispin Glover was never wrong about a single thing he said in anything in this video. It is fucked up that he wasn't paid for his likeness. Back to the future 1 is a near perfect movie and the only failing aspect of it is the ending where he comes home to being rich and its solved all his family's problems. Back to the future 2 while still being great, is no where near as good or impactful as the original, and it does have a ton of flaws in both the script and the acting. Them doing something illegal, and then blaming him, the victim, after settling with him so it never goes to court and no one ever knows what really happened, and slapping him with an NDA is fucked. Him getting black listed from Hollywood, while also being one of the reasons actors "likeness" is a thing companies cant just use and create and pretend is in their movie, WHILE ALSO never really getting to benefit from the changes himself because of the impact this all had on his career at the time is crazy.
Good for him on suing them and getting what he felt like he deserved. This lawsuit always has fascinated me. While he deserves more, I never felt like Crispin was fully telling the truth about his demands. As this isn't the only time he was let go from a sequel due to these kind of demands. He wasn't in the sequel to Alice in Wonderland due to asking for "too much money" as well. That's either a pattern of behavior, or a bunch of journalists lying about him.
Kinsky wasn’t a good actor at all. His characters were always the same …
No it wasnt you, you wanted too much money.
What a baby
Get over it Crispin that was so long ago 😂
Always thought Marty should've been played by that Oriental kid from The Goonies. MJF was decent but I think a lot of that has to do with everyone being so used to the movie that we can't picture it any other way. I also think James Earl Jones as Doc Brown could've worked too. I understand people preferring MJF and Christopher Lloyd over the Oriental kid and James Earl Jones but I think nostalgia is mostly responsible for that. If the movie happened to star who I think would've been just as good or better for the roles, everybody would think MJF and Lloyd would be a bizarre choice.
Crispin was the low point of BTTF 1. His character makes me so agitated, Weissman was a bit of an upgrade in my opinion
R.I.P. Klaus Kinski!🙏🏻
No accurate translation (I'm german) but the point is clear i think 😂
So that’s what happened to his career. I had no idea it wasn’t him…
Good for him!!! Definitely thought that was him in the movie
He wasn't a very good actor anyways
Its a shame that he couldnt join the other cast at the conventions hes such a big part of back to the future
It's true. They've stolen his image. I thought for YEARS that it was him in II He's an actor. He lives off his image . They took it,used it and didn't pay..so now they had to pay! And 760.000 was spare change when you consider how much they made/make.
Dude got blacklisted for that. Didn't see him till that crazy role in Charlie's Angels
Didn't see him in any other movies until "Like Mike" and when he played Willy Wonka 😂
With Russia Greenlighting Nuclear Weapons after Biden Authorized the use of Us Long Range Missiles by Ukraine this might be dangerously close.
I love Crispín as an actor but man he robbed us in back to the future 2. I get wanting more money and all but man I would have loved to see what the story would have been like if he stayed in.
I had no idea that he wasn’t in part 2. They totally used his likeness to fake us out.
I'm on Crispin's side.
Somebody using my face in a movie I'm not in? Yeah. I'm suing their ass, too.
Seems pretty dumb , it sounds like it all comes from a B list actor not wanting to play ball on the sequel back in the day. He can't play an intriguing lead for even 30min to save his life , only that support guy and even then he's only as good as whoever he's supporting. If he would of just stuck with the franchise, he would of made far more off royalties and promotions in the long run . But i will agree the film industry is run by a bunch of fatcat botards aswell
They couldv still used stoltz as martys bad self or somwthing happened to marty that would explain his altered dark ego and black hair color itd be brilliant
He inspired Hitlers speech
This guy is legend 😂
I am totally with Crispin on the monetary reward at the end of the first film
Hello! McFly! Anybody home? Think McFly. Think!
Klaus Kinski was a German legendary actor who brought so much energy in the roles he played in various films yet he is still missed today 😎
As a child never knew it was a different aftor but as a teenager I kinda connected the dots. They did a "good" job hiding that away, but ', and we don't know who's right ir wrong, looks fishy for Crispin, he's a good actor that doesn't deserved that treatment.
This is the reason why all these actors and writers were striking against the Hollywood studios . Hollywood wants to do to all of them the way they screwed Crispin .
he sucked as an actor
Everyone has that 1 uncle
Not only he is right about doing the lawsuit but also his commentary on money = reward was incredible, most Americans wouldn't understand this, including Zemeckis.
And yet no one talks about Star Trek and the talking computer that can also stop the oxygen on the ships.... no we talk about someone's fantasy while computers have been around since 1833 or so... let's scare each other but at the same time buy all this automated stuff we don't need.
I think robots like the Terminator will save humans. They will help us bring order in society.
Damn, never knew Crispin was so HOT! How old is this interview???? He's super hot in this
Can we take a moment to say.. money does buy happiness and makes love so much better? 😂
He is a bad actor.
Crispin’s aged pretty well
Il 43 and only heard for the first time it wasn’t him in the movie ! 😮 So he was right to sue them.
6:35 You didn't like that other actor's performance... But /at that moment/ everyone was waiting for you to play the role and you became selfish George! Think McFly Think !!!!
Yes, we know Crispin. We can all read cast credits at the end of movies.
He had every right to sue.
I'd like to side with Crispin but there would have been a huge appetite within the studio to retain the original cast, not to mention they knew it would make money. So he must have had some pretty unreasonable requests for them to walk away.
I love to imitate Warner Herzog.
Klaus is a pedo
Wasn’t he the one who almost kicked David Letterman in the face on his show?
WOW!!! I was born in 1981 and love these movies! I had NOOOOOOOOOOOOO idea Crispin Glover was not the actor in # 2!? I just thought it was the makeup to make him look old etc. Sleezy to do that to him.. Lawsuit was totally acceptable under these circumstances!
If you want an insight into the son, check out his father, Bruce Glover. One of the most offbeat Bond villains in his duo with Putter Smith, that minor freak show raised one of his own and named it Crispin.
