Looting is super viable in this game if done right. I do only There is only War Challenge except legendary where unit cost are way higher than VH especialy playng Hatori. In these conditions looting becomes one of the very few options to get by. To ovecome the honor penalty i hunt early game for heroic victories to compensate for -3max honor penalty with +3 max honor gained by heroic vitories. Usually by turn 20 i can loot for free and you can get extra honor ontop of that from arts and retainers. Most my campaigns i end up having min 6 honor and a ton of funds in looting.

You should try Tsu next. Tsu content is really lacking on UA-cam. They are probably the weakest faction so it makes sense. Maybe consider flipping allegiance early too.

any reason why the Sendai in particular when the Aizu have +1 starting rank for Traditional units?

You should try reverifying your game files if you're having alot of issues. I don't know if it'll fix it (nor if you already have tried this). But it's worth a try. (I know some people don't know how to; So right click Shogun in your library, select properties and then go into "installed files". The option to reverify is the last one). You can also attempt to uninstall then reinstalling it again, if that doesn't work.

You should alter between v. high and normal taxes each turn to max income.

It's not the fact that you're not supposed to use them together it's the fact that you're supposed to use them correctly with the nebulon B's charging head on and the assault frigate coming around the back

This was legitimately useful to me. We just started a weekly Armada night.

My concussion missiles came in clutch on the pelta to kill a mc30 and the same pelta killed a corvette lol Also Dutch was to shut down anyone’s special character and make them move their activation slider which didn’t come in handy since no squads Thx for the feedback tho I’ll take the torpedos off of my shield giver pelta so I can make others play my objective

Yeah - I completely messed up my MC30 in that first game. Wasted it very cheaply by going too close to the MC80. Plus his dice rolls were pretty hot. My stupid flying in the end and cost me the game. I'm out of practice with the MC30, not flown it for quite some time. Your point about Ion Cannon Batteries is the combo between dropping a ship to speed zero (Magnites) hopefully Ioning any Nav tokens and then Slicing it's next command dial. It sort of works, but the main reason is that I wanted Point Defence Reroute to help against Squadrons. In the end, a rubbish trade off and should have stuck with HIEs which I had previously.
