Why Red and Green Became the Colors of Christmas | Just Learning
The colors red and green have been the colors of Christmas since ancient Roman festivals, early Christianity, and the Victorian era. They symbolize protection, renewal, life, and the blood of Christ. The 20th century saw Coca-Cola's iconic ad campaign featuring Santa Claus in a bright red suit, showcasing the universal association of red and green with Christmas. Today, these colors serve as a universal symbol of the season, uniting us in the spirit of Christmas.

Переглядів 19114 годин тому
NASA's Juno spacecraft has discovered that Jupiter's moon, Io, is the most volcanically active body in the solar system. It is a dynamic world with over 400 active volcanoes, erupting with lava hotter than the Sun's surface. The discovery, made during close flybys of Io in 2023 and 2024, revealed that Io's volcanoes are not powered by a single global magma ocean but by the immense gravitational...

Переглядів 227День тому
The video explores the life cycle of stars, starting in cosmic nurseries, where hydrogen, helium, and trace elements form the building blocks of stars. A supernova triggers a collapse of protostars, which grow denser and hotter, igniting nuclear fusion, and forming a star. The star then enters the longest and most stable phase, where hydrogen atoms fuse into helium, releasing energy. The size a...

The Northern Lights, also known as Aurora Borealis, are a natural phenomenon in the Earth's polar regions, triggered by the interaction between charged particles from the Sun and Earth's magnetic field. The Sun's solar wind, which increases during solar storms, guides charged particles towards the Earth's poles. However, near the poles, the magnetic field lines converge, allowing some particles...

Scientists are using sonification to transform the silent universe into an auditory experience. Telescopes detect electromagnetic waves from celestial bodies like planets and stars, which are converted into digital signals. Thank to information 👈
It's not certain. Early Christians (very erroneously and much earlier than stated here) calculated the December date as the birth of Christ. There's some evidence that a later Roman emperor took this already establised date as a celebration of the sun. If this is true, then instead of Christians 'stealing' Christmas from a pagan date, it was actually the other way around.
Nice

War tecnollogy have changed a lot. Look at Ukraine and how a country without navy sunk 2/3 of the Russian Black Sea fleet. As a matter of fact, drones and missiles make tanks and big ships stell corfins..
Prima facie, the US has the most powerful navy in the world. But in reality, it depends on where the battle is fought and also which country has the best strategy...In terms of fire-power, undoubtedly the US is number one but with asymmetrical warfare, I am not so sure...

The best thing about escalators is they never break. They only become temporary stairs. 😂 - Mitch Hedburg
Don’t worry though he says lol. Faster than light warp drives…LOL

Good stuff. Please do more on this topic.
Of interest about the escalator, the inventor never protected his trademark, so escalator became a generic name for the device.
Nope. Planet X is hypothesized to be the 9th planet of our solar system, that (if it exists) would be way out beyond the Kuiper Belt. So no Goldilocks zone here my guy.
does not sound real because scientist name planet using the star name.
It would be great if we had probes ready to launch for events like this or for Oumuamua like events. Someday we will.
