Hypatia of Alexandria - The Female Philosopher Documentary
#documentary #history #biography #hypatia #alexandria #philosophy
In this captivating documentary, we explore the life and legacy of Hypatia of Alexandria, one of the greatest philosophers, mathematicians, and astronomers of the ancient world. Set against the backdrop of Alexandria, the intellectual hub of the Roman Empire, we trace Hypatia's journey from her early education under her father, Theon, to her rise as the leading figure of the Neoplatonist school. As one of the last guardians of ancient knowledge during a time of political and religious upheaval, Hypatia’s story is not just one of scientific discovery but also of courage, intellect, and resilience.
The documentary dives deep into Hypatia’s contributions to mathematics and philosophy, detailing her innovative work in geometry and astronomy. We also explore her influence on the preservation of classical knowledge, a legacy that has continued to inspire generations of scholars, thinkers, and feminists.
With stunning visuals, expert interviews, and historical reenactments, this film brings Hypatia's world to life, highlighting the tensions between pagan and Christian communities in Alexandria, and the political intrigue that ultimately led to her tragic death. Hypatia’s story is not just a reflection of the ancient world but a timeless reminder of the importance of intellectual freedom, critical thinking, and the pursuit of knowledge.

Indeed , we just realised that . The used background music was left longer then the video, we will get that sorted. Thank you
Abrahamic faith always been used as politically to target other faith.
Yeah unfortunately, specially Christianity.
Do you know how many battles Genghis Khan won in total?
Its almost impossible to know exactly the number of battles he won, but he won A LOT of battles.
@@DMediaOfficial 50+? Where do you rank Genghis Khan, compared to the greatest generals of all time?
@@NathanBee3 more then 50 as the ones I studied and looked up. And studied a lot of leaders, generals and conquerors. Ghengis Khan was beyond doubt the greatest conqueror in human history. He organized the Mongol tribes into a single fighting force, all by itself a task never achieved before, and basically defeated everyone who opposed him. He took new technologies and adapted them to his fighting strategies.
@@DMediaOfficial can I ask for your opinion on who you think are the greatest generals of all time?
@@NathanBee3 in my humble opinion I believe Alexander the great, Genghis Khan, Julius Ceasar and Salahuddin would be the greatest generals of all time. And I can add napoleon and Frederic the great as honorable mentions.
My most awaited episode. Thank you ❤
I hope you enjoy it brother ❤

There was NO Canons in1223 as seen at 15.06 & 15.20 !
The first Canons appeared in China sometime during the 12th and 13th centuries. It was most likely developed in parallel or as an evolution of an earlier gunpowder weapon called the fire lance. You might be right because Ganghis khan's era is not known for using Gunpowder, but Kublai khan used them. So the footage might be from Kublai khan era.
Dumbass
No it's okey. Everything is open for debate and I like to discuss such things.
Macedonia is Greece!
Macedonia, was small kingdom in northern Greece, established a growing empire from 359 B.C. to 323 B.C. through the reign of several kings. With Alexander the Great, Macedonia would come to conquer many lands and usher in the Hellenistic age in the region.
Thank you
Are these videos from a film? If so can you tell me which one please?
Indeed, it's called Mongol, The rise of GenGhis khan 2007 and here is the whole movie on UA-cam ua-cam.com/video/YKm6fmI27Jk/v-deo.html
@@DMediaOfficial Thank you, unfortunately it is blocked for me.
@@Talis1986 ah I see. But you can use a VPN or download it from outside UA-cam
@@DMediaOfficial good idea. Does it work for you? Which region should I try?
@@Talis1986 Try Europe OR the US. I'm from the Us and it works for me here.
In the histori he lost an battle !
Nope he did not lose a single battle all his life actually.
He was also about 32 yrs old when he died.
Thats pretty old for the time
Indeed, and to achieve all that in 15 years or so of battles is damn impressive.
Elizabeth is one of the best leaders in history.
If marshal yue fei nit executed by ciward and ni brain emoerir... There was no ghengis khan... Coz gen. Yue fei armys will them anhikates them
I actually found something about the Marshal Yue Fei and how he was murdered and I'm thinking about making a documentary about him.
Despotism is the biggest legacy of mongolian empire.
I don't agree with you actually. Because despotism means the ruler has total unchecked power . Like Stalin for instance. With Mongolian it's kind of the same, but at least they used some sort of democracy in which if you capable and shows potential you get promoted to higher levels despite your origin.
@@DMediaOfficial Stalin is a perfect examples of Mongolian influence. Whole state of Russia was built on paranoia of Mongol era.
I think there are differences between the Mongol Empire and soviet unity because Khan who was chosen and received by the public always ruled the entire empire but in the Soviet, such as Stalin's government ruled harshly. To illustrate, they have tortured Turks who live in Türkistan and forced them to assimilate into a communist regime.
Theres no light side to social media it was mad by demons
Demons who knew how to use it to control us.

The beer was actually used as bread as well to feed the slaves building the Pyramids.
Yet no one teaches how ancient egyptians practiced demon summoning and to seal the spell they needed to commit a same sex act to finalize the summoning spell
I'll do a longer video with all practices and rituals . 1 min short video is not enough to mention everything
They didn't ignore berg warnings. Many of them were sent to the bridge. The captian was aware of the bergs.
Lucky didn't have today's tech. He would of been taken out with a drone these days.
Lack of technology prevented the majority of the Drug kingpins and criminals from controlling the whole world. Nowadays we see governments and countries leaders doing exactly what these criminals did but under the protection of the law.
It's easy to have protection under the law when you own Military manufacturing plants. Isn't it.
Yes indeed . On point and the majority of them are untouchable
Hagia Sophia, It was built between 532 and 537 as the cathedral of Constantinople, the capital city of the Eastern Roman Empire during Late Antiquity. Byzantine Emperor Justinian the Great ordered the construction. The architects were Anthemius of Tralles and Isidore of Miletus, both Greek architects. Ottomans didn't build it.
Yes correct. But it was a Christian church before the ottomans, and they made it an Islamic mosque and the look and shape we seeing today. It was like 90 percent altered during the Ottoman reign.
I have read they were brutal
Not brutal but that was the way they lived actually. As per the humble researches I did all ancient civilizations had weird bizarre and brutal rituals
The kids that were sacrificed were chosen for their purity, eh? Like maybe their best and brightest? Oops. Bad move.
Lol I thought about that . Maybe they have sacrificed future leaders.
@@DMediaOfficial Darwin would be the first one to tell them that they need to thin out the herd by taking out the losers, not the winners. No wonder their civilization didn't last.
If Darwin livedd in that ERA I believe he would be sacrificed too lol
@@DMediaOfficial Nothing like history to get my misanthropic juices flowing.
They did have a language. The quipus strings ARE thier language. Smh. It has been proven by scientists that the strings are each different. Yet the patterns are the same throughout all found. However she was able to discover that the quips were thier form of communication. X I'll try to find her name. Xx Free Palistine. X
Interesting indeed . Please comment back with the name i would indeed need it for a longer video I'm preparing
America does the same thing, we sacrifice our children in the name of abortion
Not just America, all of Europe and some countries are doing the same thing in the name of fake freedom.
So I’m seeing black Incas. I’m going to need you to make a longer video please.
We are Preparing in for sure. They have a very interesting civilization
They wouldn't advance technology that much because if they won they would have killed 99% of the jews after that and even while the jews are below 1% of the world they have above 20% of Nobel prizes
The Inca Empire only lasted 95 years. There were 5 prior civilizations there before them.
Yeah I found something about that and thinking about making a longer video about them from start to finish
