Very useful vidoes! Thanks!♟
So helpful thank you.
swimming took me 1 hour to complete
suprisingly, for everyone in my troop we get our cooking merit badge first due to a campout in which we have a cooking competition and it knocks out all the requirements
Became Eagle at 14. I'm 41 now. My dad told me, do it or he'd throw me through a window! My two older brothers are Eagles as well. 🇺🇸💓🌟👊🏻
That’s great man. I’m 17, 18 September 10, and about to earn my Eagle. Did my scoutmaster conference few days ago. I definitely want my sons to get their Eagle Scout for sure
With you time as a boy scout did you have time to be involved in sports or other activities? Martial arts? Music?
Your eagle patch is on the wrong pocket
I’m planning on staying in the troop after I earn Eagle until I age out.
My Troop sometimes does merit badges together. This helps us finish a little bit each week and we also do merit badges at weekend campouts. We do breakout groups as always after instruction.
I got first aid, sustainability, and swimming easy. I am waiting to take my CPR certification class to get the badge, but do you have any tips for the 90 day requirements on family life and Personal management? those are pretty hard to do.
If you are tech savvy the easiest way is to maintain a spreadsheet for personal management and then keep a journal (or diary) for family life. Don't get discouraged! Its just record keeping and planning really. You got this!!
I’m 13 still tenderfoot but I have a lot of merit badges what can I do to stay on track of rank while still getting merit badges
Go to camp!!
Thank you so much! I just became the ASPL for my troop at age 13 and will be SPL at my week long summer camp. Thank you SO much for the tips. I will definitely recommend your channel to my troop!
I wish we had resources like this in the 1970s when I was a scout.
Democrats destroy everything they touch. They certainly destroyed the Boy Scouts of America.
I work hours
Hello Cole, I have a question for you, Which Eagle Required Merit Badge is the hardest to complete? Sorry to ask.
It’s different for everyone, but I’d say for most Scouts it’d be Personal Management or Communication!
@@ColefromScoutSmarts Hello again, Thank you for your help.
the old scout hanbook emphasizes that you take a variety of badges. not all from the same category..for instance if you like stamp collecting try chemistry .former scout trp 1 of the crow patrol we actually had our own live mascot a crow names Herkimer i never made eagle scout but was patrol leader for two years tom.
Eagle here: E-science was always a killer unless you had a chill counselor (like I did) hehe
Agreed did it at camp and he was awesome
Awesome video, I just earn all my eagle required merit badges and I watched a few of your videos to have a better idea of my eagle project. Thanks for your help man.
Communications was pretty easy in my experience. I got most of the requirements done at my summer camp.
Hey Bro I am a Tenderfoot and have been in scouts since Lions, I love your channel and your videos keep doing what you're doing, you are amazing.
I’m only 11 in first class and I got cooking pretty fast
I got so close to getting camping but I was to scared to repel down 50 ft
impressive
nice
So random question I feel like the younger scouts are ranking up so much faster how do I know what the “average” scout should be at per age
It's funny how some change in difficulty depending on each troop.
Hi, this video helped lots. I joined scouts 1 year ago as an AOL and I never thought I would get this far. I learned so much in that year that when I crossed over I was as filled with knowledge as some other scouts who were there as lions or tigers. I have been in scouts BSA a little bit longer than 7 months and thanks to all your videos I am already a first class scout on my way to star. Eagle is my goal and I want to be 12 when I get it (now I am 11)😅. Hard goal but with your tips and videos it will be a whole lot easier.
I have a question Would only having the 1st value as a priority mean it is or isn’t worth still scouting I’m in the middle of scouting and am still wondering if i still should becuase even though I am not personally interested in or enjoy scouting I still do it because I’m focused on getting Eagle so I can have better employment circumstances meaning higher chance of employment, better work benefits Ect and as a absolute ideal best case scenario job I want to be a commercial pilot probably for delta because my Mom works for delta as a flight attendant and I’m hoping maybe she’ll have tips or something that might help me get a job at delta anyways my point is if anyone has ideas on whether or not scouting would help my specific situation or even the temporary jobs working up to pilot like retail or fast food please share your opinion if you have one on this specific situation Thank you for reading
Fantastic job!
My son is a 12 year old Star Scout. Working his hardest to achieve his goal of being an Eagle Scout.
awesome video braddah, are you still involved with scouting?
As an Eagle Scout, I am glad I went through the program in the 70s. With that new merit badge Citizenship in Society, I thing the Scouts have gone woke.
I think it happened when they took the boy out of Boy Scouts of America.
Greetings from a fellow Scout Leader here in London England :)
H I’m Luke from troop 47 Alabama and I’m star thank you for the tips
Envi Sci: Acid rain is no longer part of the experiments, but you are right with the seven experiments you have to do that it can be difficult/expensive. If you do it on your own, you WILL need the book to know how to set up each experiment. I haven't looked too much into Citizenship/Society. But I think your difficulty rankings are pretty spot-on, especially the relative positions in each tier. Communication I think is pretty easy if you are in early high school or late junior high, because by then you have likely given a speech for class.
I was able to get the life saving and swimming at the same time!
Everything i love about myself was created/found in scouting, every pinch or scary situation something i learned in scouts saved the day , especially ethical situations... i cant imagine where I'd be if i never did scouts.
Are you in college yet? Do you mind sharing how scouts added to your college applications?
Absolutely! Earning Eagle really helped to boost my college apps and gave me the opportunity to highlight my leadership experiences. I’d highly recommend all Scouts incorporate at least a bit of their Scouting experience in to their college essays - so much so that I even wrote an article on the topic! You can find it by googling “college Scoutsmarts”
I love you videos❤
I've gotten both the hiking and cycling merit badges, and let me tell you that they involved the most challenging experiences of my life. The 50 mile in one sitting requirement for cycling tested my determination like nothing else has, and it felt great.
That’s awesome! Congrats and great work 🤩
but can you be a scout as an adult? i tought it was only 15 - 18 or less
Even if you’re 18+, you can always register as an adult volunteer and serve as a Scoutmaster once you finish Youth Protection Training!
Sustainability can be easy depending on if you go to a merit madge fair. But if you try it at home it's really hard. But nice video ❤.
are you a eagle scout
Yep! Finished out in 2014 :)
This is exactly the type of video I've been waiting for someone to make, and I love it! I can't wait to try one of these merit badges soon. Thanks for the suggestions!!!
Glad you enjoyed it! Wishing you a ton of learning and fun in earning your new badges :)
Checked my Dad's edition of the manual. 30s. It had Public Health, Bird Study (!), and Pioneering as required for Eagle. I think they were scrambling a bit for relevant things to put into the requirements. There was Civics rather than 4(!) Citizenship badges. The new one seems a little woke to me.
I love your content
My son is 10, recently earned Scout rank and i always catch him watch your videos!
Doing an Eagle board of review currently for one of our Scouts (I'm an Assistant Scoutmaster) and you have summed up exactly what I expect of someone I am going to sign off on for that rank. Great video and thank you!
