Переглядів 53 тис.9 років тому
09 challenger 3.5L 130000 miles challenger won't start I have to keep turning the key for a while then sum times it will turn on and sum times it wont... it has brand new starter
My car was doing that and I bought a new battery and it worked just perfect
Following
If you still have the car and you still having a problem with it you might want to get your module checked out cuz that's exactly well almost the same case is yours because mine whenever I turn it it like turned off like you had nothing going but it was basically kind of like the same problem so you might want to get your module checked out It cost me $2,100 from the dealership
Omg my kept fob is not working and now when I put the fob in to star car sometimes it will start faster then other , I am sitting Infront my granny house right now for 20 minutes it won’t turn on !! 😩😩
Having the same problem to ight now 😡😡😡
Wires are the problem
So was it the key Fob Battery or Car Battery?
Did you ever find out what it was, I would really appreciate it if you can help point me in the direction of what to check.
I put my key in an it does not turn at all
Don't fuck with the dealer it's only a $10 relay problem you can do it yourself
What is the relay called though at the auto parts store because I can’t find anything for starter solenoid relay
It's the starter relay👍
Battery
Hey did you ever find out the problem? I’m having this problem with my 09 challenger too😩
Yeah I’m having this problem right now in my 2010. 07/19/2020 @ 2:38pm cst lbvs
Rising From Darkness Was Light I’m having the same problem right now as we speak and I haven’t found a solution yet in my 2010 Challenger
Change the starter relay take it out knock it on the table or something and put it back in see if it works or get a new starter relay it's only $10 on Amazon👍
Swear me too!!!
Doesn't seem like the relay as the starter is attempting to crank. A bad relay would be silent. Nor does it seem to be the neutral safety switch. Again starter would be silent. Probably a bad connection from the battery cable to the starter bulk head when reinstalling or a bad battery.
Sometime the relay could be weak it doesn't give the starter full power is it good idea to change your first before doing all the hard work it's the easiest thing to do
@@uhmeizuhngralphf0549 Agreed ; or swap the relay.
Neutral Safety Switch issue!!
Thank u so much for this video... the problem was the battery and I legit just fixed it so thank u again
I’m having that problem right now
Same here
Me to
Battery
I have a friend her dodge won't start and when it starts whenever it wants to please help me respond to this comment how to fix it thank you
Rebeca Arteaga it's the starter
If you haven't got it to work yet give me a response
@@willieharkless782 yo im having same issue check my page
Ya battery is dead
I know that started u bought is bad to it does sound like its humming bec when it hums it turn I had that problem with my dodge charger. If it's not that might be the relay. easy fix.
The chip in my key was busted where all the stress is from turning it. Lucky i had a recall and got a whole new ignition with new keys
@Matthew Perry Something about the Ignition itself. They replaced the ignition and gave me a new set of keys
@Colton Dock what year is your challenger. Took mine to dealership, but they never gave me recall info

You have a 6 thats your problem
Ground it better.
Could be starter. Do a voltage drop test on the wire at the starter. Could be corrosion and need to clean connection or replace main wire to starter.
I will mess with the starter relay first
I have this issue too. With my 2013.
Kimberly Black the problem literally went away by itself a year after this video, never found the problem of the issue but I changed a lot of parts and it still did it the only thing I didn’t change was the ignition switch, I’m thinking it could of been that
I have a 2013 Challenger it's doing that too. I'm mad I got this car and it has been hell
Wim module 😉 it's the wireless ignition module going bad, location is behind the key hole
Ya the WIN is a common prob on all 13 dodge ,jeep , an Chryslers !
Change out the stater fuse. 18 dollars and problem solved. It's states relay fuse number 9 and it will make the problem goes away. I had the exact same problem
Didnt do any thing for my challenger........
Mines do da SAME, wat was the problem
osokell fresh it literally went away on its own after a few months, I never did figure out the problem
So I swap my my windshield wipers with the run/start fueses and that fixed the problem for me so far ( the black 5 Prong ones)
Dead battery.
I have a 2009 charger that's doing the samething but it wont start at all
That's what mine is doing nothing it won't even turn over
@@quitaquebaby7573 what was the problem ?
@@traestyles6487so far they're saying it's something in the motor
I have a 2009 dodge charger. its is doing the same thing did anyone ever figure out what the problem was.
Hello my 2006 srt8 Charger has starting issues. My car turns on fine 8 out of 10 times. The other 2 it just keeps turning over(cranking) for about 3 seconds. Until I try again and again until it turns on. Any guesses?
Wim module
Hey man, did you solved this issue?
My 09 challenger does this when it's below freezing only . Battery is good,I replaced the relays. My guess it's the solenoid. Starts fine in warm weather no worn out starter noises. Just going to get the starter rebuilt and a new solenoid when weather warms up and it starts. Never had a car do this before
I changed the relay it start when it want to need help finding the problem
Park neutral safety switch is probably it if it sometimes turns on when put into neutral.
It sounds like it's your starter fuse, same thing happened to me in my Lexus LX 470, I spent hundreds of dollars replacing the starter and end up being a 25 dollar fuse.
Flood car. Thanks hurricane Sandy
Neutral Safety Switch.
Bailey's Rides how do you fix the n.s.s?
Looks like a starter relay problem. Replace starter relay in the fuse box under the hood. Hope this helps!
Yes it is I had the same problem I took out the starter relay and knock it on the table put it back in it works no problem
Probably your battery, if everything works but it wont start
Check your alternator
Matt Adey what the hell is that going to do?
Dont buy dodge,Chrysler,jeep products
Why
+89Kele one word junk
don't buy 2009 dodge any thing, they are all junk, same problem on all of them, and Dodge acts like it has no idea, these 2009 models need to be recall, but dodge won't because it will cost them 100's of millions of dollars and they know it. Class action it's whats needed
Jaun Ramirez screw you! I own four
+THEguyWITHtheTIGER worse transmissions
Starter today in engine compartment fuse box
So I was having a very similar problem, but mine never made a clicking noise. I did some research online and found that the #9 Fuse, which is the Starter Relay is bad. it's less than a $30 part from the dealership and literally takes 10 seconds or less to change. Hope this helps. If it's not that, I also read the camshaft sensor could be shot. Also a $30 or less part and less than 10 minutes to replace. Hope this helps.
Jesse Guzman. Where is it located ? Could it be the same for a dodge charger that does the same thing
Well i am hvn same prob. I bought new started... new battery.. new relay. And still same crap help meee.
its the ignition, ive got a 2011 caravan and it does the same thing
