EZ Lawn Care Set-up in Action
This is how Hakeem and I mow 20 lawns from 8AM to 1PM. If needed, either one of us can mow solo for the day. Route density, easy commercial equipment, and proper technique all help. Look at the little Stihl backpack blower with the Gorilla tape holding the air filter together :D

    I have 6 exmark 30" for commercial. These machines are the best machine for clean once per week grass cut. They have a very nice finishing,,,Specially on very dense grass such zoysia grass. There are not good for shitty or wet lawns.

    I love you Mike. And whatever it is therein resides, if I could then I would fix. (I guess this is a part of a different conversation… Urgh! I guess my gym buddy and I are over. I said something in ballpark of "whiny bitch" and he could somewhat cast himself in that light so he was just done with me. Really we both had broken lives in some sense but I'm not the one broadcasting every bad thing that had ever happened to me and dragging every fucking conversation down. He kept calling me his therapist and really I don't want to be that unless someone is paying me. I was just listening to lex fridman's interview with Andrew hunerman and Andrew said, "it has to be 100%." I think with Fernando and me, it was 2%. I'm really good with people according to personality tests and will accommodate accordingly. I forgive people their flaws and work around whatever it is. I really wanted Fernando to be a friend or more if it ever got to that but I'm a very precise kind of person. And maybe only certain kinds of people can understand me or get my sense of humor. Fernando was into wrestling since he was 14 years old. He was very attractive and incredibly but when I look into his soul, it was a wasteland of emptiness and chaos and we've all been there. It's just this repeating loop that recycles in our minds like a broken record and all we want is for someone to fix us. We just want that loud blaring, interminal sound that is blaring in our brain that says, "you're nothing" to stop talking. We just want to find ourselves at the end of the maze. I've had therapy off and on since college and Fernando has had nothing. I love him as a human being like lex Fridman loves all people. I AM UGLY AND IMPRECISE. And since Mike, the thing that approximates Steve Scott, that I've reapportioned every moment of every second of life over to try to be a value add as opposed to being a value takeaway over, then I say, "Thank you for making me, not a scorge." To Emily… At least you're my friend. Thank you for that. I really appreciate you. I'm just really smart emotionally, have read a lot of psychology books and maybe people just want to use me to fix their lives without wanting to be a value add in my life. It's a chasm Emily. I wanted beyond everything for Fernando to have had it with me because I'm incredibly valuable and if he couldn't see that then I don't want to be any part of it. Telling people to kiss my ass is not really my style. I'm just not like that. I wanted Fernando to break it off on his terms. It's just that I cared about him a lot. I just didn't know how how to be with him. It's against my philosophy. So, I guess I'm just trying to pull myself together after allowing something in my life that... I don't even know, Emily. I don't even have the words.)

    Good video. Ive always worn collared shirts. I like the idea of t-shirts but I sweat too much and it just sticks to my skin more than i like. 2.50 a shirt is nice though. This year I purchased 4 button up short sleeve collared shirts made by Wrangler. Got them at Walmart for about 16$ a piece. Been really happy with the quality. They've held up great and I'll get another season or two out of them. I didn't opt for uniformity in color but that might be an option going forward. Just trying to be professional with my attire. I enjoyed your hedge trimming video but comments were turned off. Im in Atlanta so I do ongoing shrub trimming for my customers as well, which comes out to monthly or at least every 1.5 months. So much easier that way. Less tiny leaves to clean up. Do you know the pinestraw bed leaf clippings trick? Lol

    • @20lawnsby19
      @20lawnsby19 2 роки тому

      The color uniformity is mostly just for when you have helpers. When I am solo in winter I just wear my hat, nicer shirts, and stuff like you mention. Small trimmings decompose and blend in usually with the pine straw; I didn't realize comments was off, I will go to that video and turn them on and reply re hedge trimming feedback there, thanks!

    • @20lawnsby19
      @20lawnsby19 2 роки тому

      Depends on the day, but twenty lawns at 35 each is 700 gross. 15 lawns at 40 each is 600. Etc. Subtract what you think would be gas and supplies, plus a helper. Plus tools & equipment, truck expenses, trailer. When I first started my loan payments were about 200 per month total for all my stihl handhelds, a 30" exmark, and a 48" exmark walk behind with a sulky. Hope this helps.

After opening the actual business and buying equipment and bank account, I have 250$ so here’s to grinding out these lawns until we get a nicer mower! When you did that first edging near the car, didn’t you kick stuff back at the car? I have a different weed eater and mine would have sent it all into that car. Great work otherwise, simple easy set up. Do you happen to run locks on your trimmers or leave them? I have heard stories of people just stealing them when you go out back to mow. I am looking to start a business next spring, have had any hustler zero turn, trailer, trimmers and blowers for about 5 years now to do mine and a few neighbors lawns but thinking of making it into a business instead of free (they would still be free for the neighbors). So just checking with a few people to see what has worked best for them. Looking at doing 15-20 lawns a week as my current full time job is 45-50 hours a week but I want to transition out of there.

    • @20lawnsby19
      @20lawnsby19 3 роки тому

      Go for it! For the stick edger I let back on throttle, but the best thing is to run backwards a few feet when close to a vehicle or garage, etc. Transitioning is an awesome solution, it reduces much risk and it builds confidence and a base, and you can do the math and figure how much you can make full time. When I first began, I was a full time teacher. I would mow a few after work before it got dark, and on Saturdays. I got up to 27 lawns that way and knew I could do well with full-time mowing. I will never be an employee again if I can help it :D

    Good review. Have a 36 belt drive and a 21 for back yards (28" gates here). Dovetail on lowered long box, no trailer as the streets are super tight for parking, very little room available. It's a good system but I would love a hydro for that instant reverse.

      Sounds like you have the right set-up. The 21 should be a lot easier to get on and off the truck and to maneuver in and around tight spaces. Funny about the instant reverse, almost the main reason I wanted a hydro.
