    just tried our tonight, and its going straight back. its badly designed, the area the grass comes from gets massively clogged up, and even if it kinda makes it to the basket, half of the clippings get lost with the massive space between the basket and the unit.

    How to fix it if it is not working?

  • @jasonkeyter2283
    @jasonkeyter2283 5 місяців тому

    Does it pick up grass as well, if it’s your first cut and there is loads of grass lying around

    • @georgekenny4325
      @georgekenny4325 5 місяців тому

      Not tried it with excess grass, but I would hazard a guess at NO - simply as the prongs are quite thin and would imagine a lot of the grass would pass through.

    Wait, what???? U ran wire individually to each light????? Why not jst daisy chain it? Parallel????

    • @georgekenny4325
      @georgekenny4325 7 місяців тому

      Couple of reasons.... 1) I had excess NYY-High-tuff cable, so cost wasnt an issue and it's generally inexpensive. 2) The apeture for service is small (even with 1 cable), so daisy-chain would mean 2 connections per light Sure there were better ways to deploy, but this method worked a charm. Thanks for the question certainly SealaxLife

    The amount of leaves in the video is ridiculous. I need to collect leaves on the forest plot!!! This is unusable for such a purpose. In addition, every time the basket is emptied, it is necessary to bend and lean forward. My back wouldn't take it. This is really useless.

    • @georgekenny4325
      @georgekenny4325 9 місяців тому

      Agreed, it's ideal for when you have a light smattering of leaves before the main fall. When leaf fall is heavy, you really need a blower!

    I’m looking at buying 8 of these… How are these lights still performing…? Any issues with them or need to replace any of them…?

    • @georgekenny4325
      @georgekenny4325 Рік тому

      Good question. 5 of the lights got flooded with water during last years heavy rain. I wouldnt expect them to have flooded, but the actual casing leaked water into the unit. I took them to the supplier and they replaced FOC, but I am concerned come this year if the replacements do the same. So far, they've been good - so it might have a faulty batch. Have a look around, and get a gurantee from your vendor, maybe a trade counter.

      www.aewelectrical.com/products.html This is where I got them from. They're a trade shop, so might not sell direct to consumer. The lights are made by Kensington, so maybe look at who stocks them. Alternatively, Screwfix or similar UK trade outfit should supply.

    Should the cabling be swa

    • @georgekenny4325
      @georgekenny4325 2 роки тому

      Are you asking me or telling me? I guess you COULD use SWA, I think with this tecnique it'd be very difficult to terminate with full SWA on the flex and such a small apeture to work with. On this setup, I had SWA into my box which was adjacent to the patio, and then I used NYY High-Tuff which is strong, but much easier to work with. Hope that helps.

    did you cut the 32mm connections out of your pool to add the 38mm ones?

    • @georgekenny4325
      @georgekenny4325 2 роки тому

      No. On the Bestway pool that I have, both the IN and OUT ports were already provided and machine cut. Of course, being a plastic pool, you can make the apertures wherever you see fit, but I just stayed with what was provided. Hope that helps!

    • @georgekenny4325
      @georgekenny4325 2 роки тому

      I've used Wagos this year as I had an ants nest in one of the chambers which caused excess moisture (prior to that I'd just used loads of electrical tape). The Wagos are larger, but they do just about fit fortunately. Also used a sealant where the lamp meets the patio.
