Interesting - you're looking at two guys who are both trying power-plays of some sort, and I think they both know it. The reporter is using personal space and confrontation to get the reporter to coalesce to an interview, and the representative's assistant is using physical contact to interrupt the reporter's technique of invading personal space by injecting himself into it and lessening the intimidation factor. I'm guessing based off the reporter's reaction, he's clearly aware that his methods are being compromised, also.
