Your voice is beautiful! I have a question why do u apply the nail leaving the space from cuticles?

I used to say “I’m not doing all that” when it came to my nails. But I’m in healthcare (gasp) and I love my nails being done. My gel X used to last about two weeks using the normal generic application. I used the builder gel overlay method and when I tell you them nails DID NOT move. I’m pretty rough with my hands and my job is very physical. They get caught in doors, xray equipment, etc. Not one popped off. I’m here for it. And I won’t go back

Do you have to flash cure? I have a uv/led lamp and I don’t want to buy another lamp 😭

What is the point of the overlay method? What does it do or prevent?

see my issue now is that the silver or gold coating of my gems etc comes off after a few days. How do i properly seal the coating lol. Top coat wore off i guess so maybe a structure gel over top?

I love this video! So you don’t brush a layer of builder/extender gel on your nail? You just put it on the gel overlay? I think this would be a game changer for me. I always have too much builder and then I’m editing it off.

Hey, do you know a company that is for larger nail beds? ex: the thumb. if it doesn't fit side to side would you recommend not putting them on at all and finding one with a larger nail bed?

I found out the hard way about e-files and over filing. I didn't do enough education before diving in. I'm now a month in and my sets look better and better. I haven't tried the gel-x but I'm looking forward to graduating on to these

I’ve seen a lot of videos with nail tips being put in like this but they go all the way to the cuticle. My question is why do you come so short of the cuticle with the tip? I am learning to use tips instead of sculpting

After the first layer in the tip do you cure or go straight in with the bead of gel at the base

Can i use any nail brand?

1. Do you have to buff down the nail before applying the base coat 2. How long does it last? I wash my hands a hundred times a day. 3. How do you remove them? 4. Absolutely LOVE that it doesn't require the light that burns my nails.

Ok so I have a question but I have to tell you what occurred so I had got acrylic French tips done and 2 weeks in my finger got slammed in a door and the whole acrylic nail came off so it bruised under my real nail bad so I waited another week and I got them removed bc I wanted new ones put back on and she didn’t feel comfortable doing acrylic on that finger so she suggested that gel x would be good which I thought she was talking about the poly gel but anyways I let her and she was gluing the nail on my finger and the put them under the lamp to cure it but here is what happened it would burn my nails up and she said that was. Normal but I haven’t heard no one say that It’s supposed to do that but anyways I came home in within the hour 3 of the nails came off and by morning I had 2 left on anyways she said that it was supposed to hurt like that and from that day to today I can’t hardly touch my nails bc it hurts so bad and you can look under my nails they are a pinkish red color is that supposed to hurt when they are being cured someone please let me know

please help!! been doing nails for a while. i start filing my nails with my e file, taking off all the stuff on my nails and then i use pre etched tips, then dehydrator, primer, then i use glue and make sure it doesn’t pass my natural nail (the glue). but today i didn’t paint my nails yet and my nails whenever they got wet you could see the water going underneath the nail. please help me because they pop off so easily too. is it because i have short nails? i bite my nails as well❤❤❤❤

hello! very helpful video as always (although I am not a beginner I love to see these types of videos). I don’t typically use gelx to do my extensions because I always find it to be too wide in comparison with my natural nail, or either one side is way wider than the other one. I’m not talking about the cuticule zone but the width of the nail. so in the end it looks like it’s fake. like I could file it so it looks slimmer but then I feel like I’m filing away the gelx nail. do you know why that is? maybe using other tips? (I have used 3 different brands and it always happens but maybe it’s because they’re all from shein?? I’m poor hahahah)

Okay so a few questions! I’ve seen people seal the cuticle with acetone, have you tried that and seen a difference ? What base coat would you recommend for skin tones like ours for French tip?? Like a deeper nude not so pink but more peachy brown?
