nigel was hitting duran with everything he got... this is why they put a head protector on duran.... to avoid cuts or major facial injury... while nigel was not wearing any protection.. this indicates that the sparring session was to put pressure on duran so that he got in shape, but were not allowing duran to hit him hard in the un fact/head since he didnt had protection.. in other words, duran took all that nigel benn had to offer, and it barely warmed him up in this sparring session... i think this fight was before he faced iran barkley.

Good spar. Benn isn't putting his ass into every punch. Duran at his age can only do so much but teaching plenty to the younger puncher. Now imagine a 135-pound Duran trying to take your head off.

I knew arturo very well. I was in Philadelphia when he fought king Solomon and lost his first pro fight. The fight took place at the legendary blue horizon. I thought arturo won the fight. Right after that fight he ran off 15 wins and fought Tracey Patterson in 1995 in Madison square garden. He beat Patterson and won the light weight title. The rest was history. Shame he left us to soon. One of the true blood and guts of all time.

Tyson emulated and loved Duran…Now he gets to fight Jake Paul 😂 Tyson is like tank, Aaron Pryor and Duran combined at his physical peak with Cus still around…Tyson will look like this version of Duran at 59 yrs old vs a much more novice UA-cam boxer. Doesn’t say a lot about Nigel Benn, just proves how good Duran was. Boxing a thinking man sport and martial art.
