Wow!
Nice!
Cool!
Nice 👍
O holly geez. I'm 8 years old and sitting in my parents living room on Sunday morning after coming home from 7am mass.
They're the Blues Brothers of Polka.
My good friend Fred turner rocks.from mark from MN
There should be a legit cd or music download of their music.
Canada's answer to Spinal Tap
Absolutely great❤️
Thank you! Do you want to talk?
Absolutely smoking hot song glad I saw it live many times that tour !!!
I think it was 1985 .
I would love to meet a man like John Candy I would marry him in a second!!!
Nice video, looks like a lovely day. A tip on your technique, try not to leave you pole planted for too long. It's causing you to rotate your upper body leaving one hand behind you. It'll be harder for you to stay balanced going faster. Try keep your shoulders/head facing down the hill and keep your pole plants very light and quick, and hands out in front most of the time. Happy skiing ⛷
If you ain't Shmengen, you ain't s*@/ Polka forever ♥️
Much like Sweden had Abba and Volvo Leutonia has Cabbage Rolls, Coffee and the Shemges!
Your all wrong ! This came out in 1984 titled Bachman -Turner- Overdrive.
Here's to Mrs. Vilve Yachke!! :)
Never did like Oompa Loompa Polkas
They didn't actually play the instruments did they? Wouldn't think so but those SCTV guys were so damn talented and I know Eugene Levy wrote the song he played in A Mighty Wind and played the guitar for real in it, so I know he's capable.
Rumour has it they did it in one take
Should have been in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame many years ago.
Nice ride
'....there is meat in the fridge...we are going to see Yosh and Stan...' - The Last Polka
A lot of people are speculating whether Eugene Levy and John Candy were playing their instruments. I looked it up and it's inconclusive. John Candy did play clarinet in high school and was probably good enough to fake it but couldn't really play all too well. Eugene Levy did play the accordion and from what I can find out there, he is playing. The band behind them is real and this was a live performance, so Eugene is most likely playing while John is miming with someone backstage actually playing.
Two of my favorite sctv comedians. Sheer talent.
Whoops, thought this was SCTV… I’ll let myself out.
Love this movie!!!
Nice cover. I'll be back for more. Cheers from alaska
Love to hear this played on the neck pick-up.
Promo sm 💐
Très bonne chanson , vous nous manquez Monsieur Perkins ! Ce fut un immense bonheur de vous voir sur scène 👏👏
Rumour has it they nailed it in one take
The best Luftonian Combo ever ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤.
He's a real man from the past, that's Carl Perkins...! 🕵🏻🎶🙂👍🏿👍🏿
As a child who would stay up late on Friday nites, just to watch SCTV, who was forced to watch endless hours of the Lawrence Welk Show with the grandparents, this really made me smile, in part because it was parody, but also because they did it seriously and tastefully.
Hah, I was three years older than you but had to endure the same stuff...."Sissy and Bobby" and "Norma Zimmer"....bwahaha.......man I was bored, but we had angel food cake and sprite!!! I didn't find out about SCTV until later and actually preferred it over SNL later on.
I love Polka music!
It's great that you teach about such wonderful instruments, keep up the good work. And happy wandering .
Working the Shmenge magic!
It amazes me how many people think they saw this band in venues that I know for a fact that they never played in.
Street Action was a really good album. C.F. Turner s voice and songs are really.good. Sadly, fans and radio, were not into the band when ir was released.
Don't we all wish Candy was still with us on earth?
He is.
❤❤❤❤❤
one of very few "celebrities" that I still get a sad feeling knowing he's not here. Think how beloved he would be all these years later. sigh........
@@mikeb1039 We love John Candy still!
I miss John Candy big time!
I thought muslims where dancing to something stinky.Brainwash zombie.Poe
We introduced my late father-in-law to the Schmengies. Hailing from Rhode Island, where they used to have polka shows on weekend tv, he laughed till he cried. RUP to him and to John Candy.
No pinkie rings were hurt during this performance 😳
SALUDOS DEL SUR DEL MUNDO DE CHILE GRACIAS POR COMPARTIR ESTAS GRANDES BANDAS MUSICALES.
Dedicated to Ukraine
♡♡♡♡
I grew up in the Detroit area. I got to watch SCTV on channel 9, CBC, out of Windsor. So many great comedic sketches.
Thanks for the upload man you have no idea how hard it is to find carl perkins outside of pandora.
