@markjordan4117 Hi, to control this device over your WiFi, a Tuya Multimode Smart Gateway is required. It will 100% definitely not work over your WiFi network without a Gateway, hope that helps you

@markjordan4117 Yes there are a few different models around of this device. You can Reset the Device through the app 1. Open Tuya app 2. Tap on the EDIT icon in the top corner 🖊 3. Scroll down to the bottom and tap on REMOVE DEVICE and WIPE ALL DATA and the device will have been reset and removed.

@markjordan4117 No definitely not, it wont connect to Alexa, Google or any other Voice Assistant without using a Gateway to connect it to your network first

@GARYIRWIN-g3m Thanks, i appreciate the comment. I suppose the stock BSM Mirrors could be used but you would need to hack into and modify the wiring to suit this aftermarket system. It will probably be a bit of a challenge but a fun one 🙂

@blackbeardrrr Nothing happens but if you turn the light off digitally again, it wont turn off because the switch is physically on

@uljberkolonja8258 if you turn off the engine with the ignition key and walk away then nothing happens because you have turned off the ignition, so the immobiliser is not in Anti-hijacking mode anymore. But no one will be able to start your car because the car will be immobilised for anyone who does not have the PKE transmitter with them, so it will only start for you when you walk back to the car and try to start it. @FlyingFun. This is a Zigbee switch so therefore a Tuya Smart Zigbee Gateway is required to use it. It does not sound like you are using a Gateway so therefore Alexa will not be able to see it, hope that helps you

@sapte62 Thanks, appreciate it. No it is not waterproof. The batteries last a long time, I don't recall ever changing mine. You cannot setup this device so it powers up only when the Ignition is ON, it's designed as a Anti-hijacking device so it won't work that way unfortunately. @nello4185 sorry I have not tested the Aneng 616, that is quite a bit different to the 683, the 683 is fully Touch Screen controlled whereas the 616 i believe does not use a Touch Screen at all

@untermieter99 Yeh i made quite a few improvements in regards to burglar security, smart home security, and animal security (i dont have kids). This video was just the basic functionality of how it works, Its not a safe system to be using if you have kids, animals or a family so I would not recommend trying it, so if you do, proceed at your own responsibility

That's why I want to add a light beam that stops the garage door. The current controller is from somewhere 1985 to 1990. It got damaged and I was looking for options to replace the controller. @TheMamo8 Because this is a Wireless camera, it doesn't matter if you put the red wire to constant +12V or the Reversing Light but if your using it as a reversing camera then not having the camera powered up constantly is going to cause long connection delays if wired up to the Reversing Light so for that reason I would put the red wire to Switched +12V Ignition instead so the camera is powered up all the time when the Ignition is On. And yes black goes to ground, you can just ignore the yellow wire if your camera is the same one as in this video, i cannot comment on other brands I have not tested or installed

@johnkeyworth976 if it's not Tuya then the only other option would be something like Home Assistant if it's supported

@johnkeyworth976 thanks, this video is actually quite out of date now, the tech has changed alot since then so what you can do now has advanced alot further. This Smart Gatewy is only compatible with Tuya devices but if your battery monitor is Tuya based then yes it should work, hope that helps

@Eldi2022 that is normal, the default voltage detection sensitivity must be calibrated for some cars so you just need to recalibrate this in the settings of your device to fix this problem

@Eldi2022 that is not correct. This device will not damage your car at all being plugged into your OBD Socket permanently. Some people plug the device into the OBD Socket with the Ignition turned on FIRST, doing that can cause problems because by turning on the ignition the CAN network is awoken so plugging in the device with the ignition turned on is not a smart thing to do so donot try that

@Gwinambele Thank you. For your first question : The Right Notification lamp will glow orange everytime a car passes you on the Righthand side, no the buzzer will not beep. Yes the system detects which side blinker turns on but it will detect an object on either side. For your second question: Yes, if a car is in your blindspot it will still detect it, the speed between the two cars is not important. For your third question: Single sensor system is easiest to install, its also better in regards to false triggers, there is no difference in range between the two systems. The dual sensor system is better at detecting objects in your blindspots when reversing but thats all

@aquilachaves 3011 I'm sure is an authentication error with the QR Code or Passkey. Can you please try scanning the QR Code on the Hub itself instead of the Manual if your doing it this way or vice versa to try and add the Hub to the app again. If that does not work, add the Hub the Manual way using the Passkey code on the QR Code sticker instead of scanning the QR Code itself, best of luck

@KD-zt8ws Hi, thanks for your comment. No these type of Cameras will not work for what you want to do. You are better off using a Car Dash Cam which would be perfect for what you want to do, you will just need to carry around a 12 Volt power pack with you to power it. It works over a wifi connection with your phone and everything is stored locally. Here is an example of how it works about half way thtough this video ua-cam.com/video/zlvJdrYSnwc/v-deo.htmlsi=aNB4-VYi5DPLiUaV this is a DVR Mirror but its just a dash cam built into a Car Mirror, they all function similarly

@ProfCanon Thanks for your comment. On some Android Auto/CarPlay systems there is a seperate wire used for reversing cameras which will also need to be connected to your reversing light power source. Is the video input on your CarPlay system designed for a reversing camera or is it just an AV INPUT connector? If it's not designed for a reversing camera then you also won't have the other wire so therefore you cannot make it work the way you want to and so that means everytime you want to use the reversing camera you will need to manually switch to the AV Input to view the camera image, hope that helps you, all the best

@@SHORTwithTECH Thanks for replying. My unit only has the AV Input connector. It was driving me nuts on why it wasn't working. Now I know. However, I have another external monitor with same Car play unit, I have it hooked up wired (male to the AV Input monitor and Male to the camera). Additional wires from camera (red wire to reverse light and black to ground) and it works fine. I'm guessing it's because it's wired. I guess I have to go wired then. I was really hoping the wireless would work. Thanks for your time in responding.

@ProfCanon it is just taking a video signal and wirelessly transmitting it to the receiver so it should work. Maybe your camera is using a incompatible chipset, there are some cameras that like to be difficult and will not work with certain devices so maybe yours is one of them
