Since it was born hip hop fed itself from jazz and funk samples ,adding nevertheless synthetic drum-machine beats and repetitive bass lines: a hypnotyc effect on the eardrum and brain. It is ,perhaps time for hip hop to bring back to live music all that it has borrowed. In this context ,the Beats Remedy band is an assertive group.
Bass, drums, keyboards and turntables gathered togheter to play the messy jerky sound ,but also a fresh breath of originality, issued solely out of the improvizational ability of some musicians who are both cohesive and eclectic inside.

nvm its called guv'nor
i wish there was a version with just the parts he talks I hate having to skip
Same
I like to listen to him even though i have no idea what hes saying
Samelol@@csar07.
To people wondering when this interview took place it seems to be multiple encounters put together. The interviewer says early on that he first encountered DOOM in 1997, and the segment includes parts from back then. 1997 was before DOOM had the metal mask, and instead just wore a white stocking on his face to appear incognito while performing in New York. This is why DOOM’s voice is different in parts of the segment, some parts are from ‘97, some are from some time after 2004, as Madvillainy and mm..food tracks are included, there might also be a third part judging purely off DOOM’s voice, but I’m not sure. This whole segment is from a swedish radio station, I speak norwegian and don’t understand absolutely everything, but it’s worth noting that the interviewer comes across as mildly insane, even more in the swedish parts.
I think the main part of the interview is after 2006. They talk about J dilla at 1:43:20 and DOOM acknowledges his death
@@csar07. good catch
🖤
This interviewer is crazy
give this comment 15 likes and i will make a video of only the DOOM interview parts and cut off the rest
I'll make it for zero likes
Someone do it please
What year did this come out?
Im guessing is this early 2000s. Theres a J dilla P3 soul interview from 2003. Did he talk about Quas at any point? If so its likely just after Madvillany. If not its probably before.
💎🌞
Its silver/gold
That shit about Zero Point Energy and Synchronicity. Wow.

whoever the person interviewing doom sounds like a villain himself and would sound so crazy on a doom track
its a swedish music journalist called mats nileskär
Lol fr tho
What is the origin of this interview ? The original source
It's a rare thing to hear, but any musician must believe in synchronicities. Yesterday was listening to El-P saying EXACTLY the same. There's no coïncidence, like litterally. There are levels tho. These 2 are capable of PRODUCING synchronicities. El did that numerous time... and Doom managed to pass away on Halloween. I think it's a pretty magistral way to end such a carrier. So yeah, if u plan to do art, don't be afraid to think esoterically. As the man says, we're at the heart of something, transe like states bring you to a place, a place some call the Zone, and about which quantum physics have a lot to say. In this place you can learn a lot, nothing is tedious, everything is connected. Each time you go, you bring back a lil power from there. Use it well. Cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeers mofos we lucky to be here.
This a banger interview, DOOM has so much to say
Needed this comment thanks🙏🏻cheers
Id hate to be that guy bruh but u are making something out of nothing , coincidences are nothing more than coincidences .. theres nothing special or magical about things that happen like that , trust me
The music should not been in the video
Agreed
The music should be in the video. Its a radio interview
@@csar07. Sod off, mate

Who is speaking at 29:47?
Its Legendary Producer 9th Wonder he produced DuckWorth by Kendrick and lots of classic shit.
@pasonjayne4635 him
🇭🇹🇩🇴
“Woke up broke and spit this shit for few hours”, the epitome of Hip Hop as he always was
Jesus this guy was so smart he was the Nostradamus of the Rap Game Straight Up
Hip hop you mean? Also; he is a mc not a rapper there's a major difference rap hip hop just as mc and rapper
@hip hop is a culture. Rap music (consisting of an mc/rapper, and a beat, started with a dj), graffiti, break dancing, etc. Rap is the music part. This MC vs rapper bs is pseudo nonsense. A rapper is someone speaking rhythm and poetry over a beat or just a capella. There's numerous origins of why we use this word but that's practically what it is. DOOM was a great MC compared to lesser MCs is what you mean
@@mamba4817 wrong Hip Hop consist of MCing DJing beatboxing graffiti breakdancing fashion rap is just muthafuckas getting paid to say whatever to get a dime without a conscience nor socially conscious awareness Hip Hop and rap are not the same PAC krs one said it themselves
anyone know what year this interview is from?
Wondering the same. The way DOOM’s voice switches up in different parts makes me think that he appeared on this show at a younger age too, before he really developed the more huskier sound to his voice. Also, he mentions the Black Bastards release finally happening, as if it was current, which would place that interview in 2000, when the album finally was released.
this could be somewhere around 2009, mostly because he mentioned the mask is chromed with ruby, from 2002 - 2008 his mask was mostly rusted and he didnt had ruby on it yet (except some live shows, but the mask was rusty)
At one point it sounds like it's when KMD s second album was dropped like 3 years from when it was suppose to come out and he kicks go with the flow first verse which was released on fondle em records maybe like 97 or 98.
The interview is after J dillas death. He talks about it 1:43:20. That probably puts it as a 2006-2007 interview. But there are some bits that are taken from earlier than that.
That was messed up ppl saw a skinnier DOOM n said! That's not him! Lol
I remember that
Amazing interview anyone wanna translate the interviewer for us? Someone said french?
I believe it's swedish, one of the commenters mentioned "Mats Nileskär is Swedish, even in Swedish he has a distinctive voice and accent. Mats is a gemstone and legend in Swedish radio history. I don't know if it's possible to find a lot of his stuff in English, it is made for the Swedish broadcasting radio. I think you're be able to find an interview from him with whatever artist you're looking for (besides Prince)." And when i visited their website , it was in Swedish.
yeah its swedish. First thing he says goes something like this: "The mask stares at us from a black special design flight bag. With a heavy lock and metall corners. A mask that radiates coldness and sorrow, lying next to a champagne bootle. The latest version of the rebirths loose face, modeled on the movie gladiator. The first time I saw DOOMS real face was 1997. Then there was no cruel iron mask. Just a sock he pulled over his head when he showed up incognito at shows in New York. Daniel had just started to transform in to the scientist MF DOOM. Full of lust for a rematch maybe also a demand for revenge, he spoke with a flow and a language that spoke to us on a different frequency. Humoristic hip hop that approached quantum physics". like poetry man
Scientific experiment? For me it's me in the kitchen fixing my bomb ass salsa , u get passionate about something u see n do by hand, u give it ur last tastes n fixes with ur closest fanbase and lovers of ur product. Then it can't be touched again. Tastes so good! Like a good beat! MM FOOD!! I love working on art or food! Lol or. Good vinyl mix
This is the interview I wanted to hear and I never knew about. Just saying that after I barely thru half of it. The new DOOM fans need this
Anybody know the grover washington jr tune that was played here?
It is “mister magic” for anyone else
DOOM was vibing in the Grand Canyon? I felt him there
Might download this I'm scared this'll disappear lol
Yo seriously this is the real shit hardcore DOOM fans want and some of us never heard this kinda interview this the best DOOM interview ever! Js!!
Best interview ever! U get to know the villain inside and out! This is THE INTERVIEW!
It never disappeared 💪💪💪
Same here… got to!
Love the part when he said the French shit I don't understand
"fReNcH"
❤❤❤
HE SOUND YOUNG AS FUCK, IS THIS DOOM FR FR?
I have watched every one of his interviews and yet I still don’t really know him.😂 That’s what I like about MF DOOM. He doesn’t give you but so much. Kind of reminds me of what Dr. Dre said in his interview about the majority of artists now don’t have that mystery about them anymore. You don’t need to know my every move. MF DOOM schooled his wife on that to because you would think she would be in everybody’s face basking in his fame/notoriety but she isn’t.
What you know about her?
Nothing @AnonimusGuyNamedlvan
Just keep bumping his music
@@AnonimusGuyNamedIvan Don’t worry bro he one of those dudes that just thinks all or most women to be attention seekers even though he even stated that he doesn’t know DOOM or his wife

Biggie lives on with just 2 albums.. DOOM will live on in the essence but also on this plain he formulated a timeless character with use of a mask... Supervillians never die just ask the joker
*Interviewer* : “what gave you the ability to BEND SOUND?” *DOOM* : [sighs] “…and uh... how ya doing today, brother, as well? [laughs] The ability to bend sound? Is that what it sounds like-is happening?... well, aight... you know what it is? If I had to answer that question in a nutshell... what’s going on is this: I’m really following the sound. It’s pliable at certain points. So if you listen to it, you can find the pliability points in sound. So once you find the points, you know that’s where it could be easily-manipulated. So, I never... I can’t really, *bend* it, it’s just bending on its own. You just find the... part where it snaps like a LEGO piece and you could attach it. You know what I mean? Or it’s similar to how, proteins-like you could, y’know, proteins-they have attachment points. And each protein makes a different configuration. [...] It’s the same thing with music.” 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
It’s really incredible... What’s Notebook 04?
