Pigs are growing well!

My 2 feeder hogs are doing great with their fermented barley/oats. I have saved lots of money on commercial feed because I supplement with the fermented barley and other fruits/veggies. normally I would have purchased over 14 bags of feed by now, but have only bought 6 or 7 so far, I have had them for a bit over 2 months now.

I caught a quick break in the rain to get the pigs food ready, but then it poured some more! The pigs get a mix of fermented organic oats/barley and some commercial feed, as well as anything found in the pasture! they are about 4 months old commercial breed.

What knot do you use to tie the baler twine
So how did the selling go I am about to do the same. Just curious if youbfound a market
I am anti-vegan but this makes me so sad.
Where can I get the designs to make one of these balers?
That metal scraper makes me cringe raking across that concrete
Hi. I wanted to ask…. Are apple seeds bad for them? I heard they have a toxin in them. I used to juice the whole apple for myself and learned they have a toxin in them so I core the apples now. I have two rescue pigs and i core their apples. Do you know if the seeds have a toxin in them? If they don’t it would be nice to just give a whole apple .
it is true they have something called "amygdalin" and when processed by our, or animals stomaches, it can convert to hydrogen cyanide, with that said i have never found in 40 years of raising animals this to ever affect the critters. I would simply suggest if you are concerned, then dont feed it to them, otherwise dont worry
@@burgessoutdoors Thank you ever so much ! That was very informative. I really appreciate it. I will look into now that I know what it does . Have a beautiful day!

Hydrolic lime?
no, this is pure limestone that is crushed into a powder form, used to lower acidity in soil.
This is what I love the internet for. Thanks for sharing the inspiration! Now I know a mini manual square baler is possible!
Please send your contact number
Nice place
thank you
Do you have plans that a person could use to make this.
no sorry, i just made it from looking at another fellas video.
Why do they not have a tail?
because they came from a commercial farm, and unfortunately they dock their tails. This is because when pigs get bored or angry, they will bite and sometimes chew the other pigs tail off, thanks for watching
@@burgessoutdoors Oh I see, you saved them from a commercial farm. Very nice. Great for them to have this big green area, instead of being crammed on cement.
Looks like it works. Did you do anything different for tying off?
hey thanks for stopping by! It works really good, but there are some weak points like the pivot bolt and metal arms a bit light duty. I pretty much tye off, the same as you did basically, so far satisfied with results! and I sold my first bale tonight ppu, so thanks again for the kewl idea!
@@burgessoutdoors how much would this cost to make /buy
@@burgessoutdoors how much is a single bale worth usually?
