      They custom make to order. If u call and order they make em. They may not have the blackouts in stock (which I doubt after seeing the inventory) but the rest are all made after you order them.

    Hey Champ I've been thinking about going lighter on my hunting set up. I'm shooting 70lbs and 28.5 shooting 405 grain arrows. What's your target weight for the perfect arrow if you had to choose?

    • @OutdoorswithOvertime
      @OutdoorswithOvertime 10 днів тому

      My draw is 32.5 at 74# so I go with the lightest/fastest to get the smallest pin gap. I'm gonna get a complete pass through regardless with those numbers. Usually total weight is 484.

    • @MINIHAHA1
      @MINIHAHA1 10 днів тому

      @OutdoorswithOvertime right on. With your draw length and at 74# thats a hell of a set up. Im gonna have to experiment with a few different weighted arrows and maybe crank the limbs up a little. Thanks Champ!

    I’m building out my garage bow shop for personal use. Would you recommend buying a draw board or bow press first? Which one you use more often?

    • @OutdoorswithOvertime
      @OutdoorswithOvertime 19 днів тому

      Good question. I'd go with the press first though for many reasons. But vmain one being you can build a draw board for 50$. I have an episode on that as well

    • @scottmcclure1196
      @scottmcclure1196 21 день тому

      It will work because it will gradually settle, however I would fire about 10 shots first and then do this (if needed) for only a couple of hrs. I build my own strings and have never had to result to this method. However, to the content creator thanks for sharing your knowledge. The main reason I have done as he said was not for the strings but for the cables.

    • @OutdoorswithOvertime
      @OutdoorswithOvertime 19 днів тому

      I was taught this helps reduce the stretch you get in your strings over time

    Excellent! If I was built like you and not 67 years old with an artificial knee I would do the same thing! They didn’t have gear like this when I started bowhunting 45 years ago.

    • @OutdoorswithOvertime
      @OutdoorswithOvertime Місяць тому

      Thank you sir!! But I'm sure you can do it, just need a little practice. My father is 65 with 2 artificial knees and shoulder surgery and he still gets up and down the ladder at job sites like he's was 20 and still can fly up the tree in a climber (his preferred way of hunting). Grab a saddle, a platform, and a lifeline and you'd be surprised how simple it is.
