I will never understand how this became a thing. As someone who owned and operated a speed shop building custom turbo kits etc, we used to spend so much time fine-tuning the maps to AVOID crackles and pops. Now people are trying to do it on purpose. Oh, and we would go through 2 or 3 iterations on custom exhausts in an effort to make them as quiet as possible while retaining good flow for max performance. Now kids cut everything off and go around making all kinds of noise in slow cars. It’s weird.
