Are you sure you are actually getting dangerous wind? It should be laminar 100 percent of the time coming off the ocean if the wind is coming from the opposite direction you shouldn’t be flying it could push you out to sea

That is not a solder wire connection, it will easily pull apart. Real solder cannot be melted by a heat gun and bonds to the copper.

DLE RC engine has been used by Chinese paramotor flyers back in 2015. It works but 170 is under powered when pilot weighs over 75kgs. 222 is more powerful and suits most people. Without electric start it is same weight as electric start DLE170M. Light weight,economical and not bad thrust.

Good decision to go land. Doesn’t take much wind to be flying backwards, u wouldn’t want to try landing a motor running backwards. Nice kiting.

Sounds still like DLE170 but deeper. Doubt that your gasket will last. Hope you use some gasket sealer. Eg. SI 569 on Metal part before placing gasket.
