An excellent presentation of a broad selection of very commonly used prepositional phrases. Just a few comments, if I may. Question: #37: According to the OED, "We only use 'would' to describe actions or situations that were REPEATED again and again and again." For example, "When he was younger, he WOULD sleep until noon on weekends." Again, the regular repetition is the key. However, we use 'used to' for any EXTENDED action or situation in the past." So, we would say "I used to live in Manchester, but I moved to London last year." So, since the test question describes an activity that was repeated many, many times, answer C would be correct. #42: Blank left open would also be correct. #59: The verb, of course, must agree with the subject (neither), and not with the prepositional phrase (of the options). So, the sentence should read "Neither of the options SEEMS..."

Excellent test, I thought. The questions and explanations were very instructive for the students. Respectfully, just a few comments, if I may. Question: #6: Answer B implies he has NO money to spend on a new car. Answers C or D implies he has SOME money to spend on such a car. He MIGHT be able to put together a deal. #25: Answer B grammatically correct also -- just a larger quantity. #44: Answer B also grammatically and logically correct. #47: Answer D also. #48: I believe most would simply say "The house was painted red." The phrase "red with color" seems a bit awkward and redundant to me.
