Where did you buy it from?
I've heard this brand, they sound fantastic, but my system has more realistic sounds, if you want to listen, please come
Could you determine how close Seymour XD was to the Stewart G4? Did you have a definitive decision? Or were they too close to say? Not clear in your video.

Hi, how does the NZ8 performs in gaming ? Do you feel the input lag in nervous games (doom eternal, racing ?) Also, is there any ghosting (duplications when fast moving or image blur) ? Thanks
I don't feel any input lag and there is definitely no ghosting
Good morning ☕️🫵🏼 Nice to see you out and about . Great video ☕️👍
The Borresen room was so loud, I couldn't stand to be in it for more than two minutes. But it sounded great.
Also mention the details of the projector please like how clear was the projector, color depth, size of screen being displayed here?

What speaker brand is that and how did it sound? I’m really surprised. They used the new above and below set up for flat panels to show a projection screen.
I believe they used Ascendo Speakers.

I have the Miele G6000 series for the past 7 years. I cut the Miele Tabs in half, as half a tab cleans just fine on a full load. A full tab actually makes too much suds.
I was listening to systems all day. At the end, because they are late getting their system calibrated I came in and it hurt. Ear fatigue, and a super bright sound stage with lean bass. Was it the most expensive? Yep. Most accurate? Yep. Hurt my ears at end of day? Yep . Most fun? Nope. The black swans did completely abuse my ears in the other room. Had I come here earlier in the day, it may have been ranked higher imho.
How do you like your Alt16 if you still have it? How does it compare sound wise to AVM90 you had a for a while? Thanks
@@sebna Since I had not luck correctly calibrating AVM90, I stuck with the Trinnov and it sounds great.
@xaviersreview1827 --- What would connecting via DB-25 between the amplifier and processor allow you to do? Why does the amplifier have the port but not the processor?

It’s so hard to find actual sound demos from MWAVE. Thanks very much for this! We’d love to hear more if you have any from other rooms? Thanks again…
The Grimani and Ascendo had the best room treatment for sure. But from an overall sound capability perspective, I felt like JTR was the best. The sound envelopment in the Grimani room was a tad better at times. I remember watching the same clip from Spiderman in both and felt like Grimani did a slightly better job with the sound bubble it created with the Atmos effect, but the other than that, the overall smoothness, impact and even the infrasonics that I felt in the JTR room was better than anything I have heard till date. I am not a bass head, but I do like good tactile bass. I know there were panels rattling all over the room due to amount of bass that was generated with those large subs and lack of proper room treatment, but even with all that, JTR provided the most unforgettable experience for me and many folks I talked to at the show, especially those who got chance to attend their 'extreme experience'. It wasn't just about the powerful sound though, but how pleasing to the ears the overall sound was even playing at those high volume, at least for me. While watching an extended clip from 'a start is born' which included the song 'shallow', I wished I could watch the entire movie in that system because the sound was so nice and engaging. Matt did an amazing job calibrating that system. I felt like Grimani was a bit too bright for my liking at higher volume and Ascendo even though very pleasing to the ears, had not enough tactile impact in comparison.
On which day did you listen to Grimani system as they were improving on brightness every day.
you guys when you post this stuff should also post all the equipment/gear being used in the demo. kind of defeats the purpose of posting this
what is the projector? it is cut off in the beginning
I was not aware there were fans in the avm70 ? I knew they have fans in the mrx540 since it has amplifiers inside, but I never expected them in their processors ?
For $47,000 that pj better be mind blowing good
That’s without lens, with modified lens it’s more like 60-70K or something.
I would pay to see him calibrate the room in it's entirety. This is golden secret info right here
Where is it??

Awesome room. Probably my 2nd or 3rd best. JTR was 1st for me.
Sorry but no way JTR was better than Grimani. Over inflated bass that was boomy/middy around 60-100hz, and not as large sound stage. The general consensus was 1. Grimani 2. Ascendo 3. RBH 4. JTR 5. SVS
JTR was far and away the busiest room for a reason. Most of the people I talked to loved the JTR room. Not sure who you figure is the general consensus, but obviously you were talking to a different group of people than me. Grimani was a touch bright and fatiguing, and was lacking in the infrasonic bass department. That said, all of the rooms were great. Each of them had their own strengths and weaknesses. To each his own.🤷♂️
how would you compare this room vs the other rooms you heard?
I agree with Xavier in his assessment, for me, 1st Place award goes to Grimani Systems followed by Ascendo in 2nd Place. This was my first time at this show and learned a lot. Thank you Michael!
How was bass reproduction between the two? Did Grimani room was running WaveForming? Do you know if Ascendo room was running DART on Storm? Which was Grimani's room was better than Ascendo and how close or far apart in SQ where these? Finally how about other numerous rooms running Trinnov processing? Thanks
@@sebna no waveforming .
@@xaviersreview1827 Thanks for getting back to me but what about the other questions I asked :)
@@sebna yes, all rooms are using room correction.
Definitely was the best sounding room, imo too

Aww I was waiting for the DEMO
Sorry, demo on here would not do the sound or visual justice. A "10" in both respects. Really perfect immersion IMO.
Don't buy this POS! I will never purchase anything from Anthem again. The unit is out of warranty and HDMI randomly stops supporting EARC. Never have unplugged the unit or anything. What a PO!
Do you still own Trinnov? If so could you record some movie scenes playing through it?
Gain matching is the benefit. Does not mean that other amps cannot be gain matched by accident but here you get it as part of the package.
you had AVM 70 or AVM 70 8k? Maybe 8k version is better?
How good is the Trinnov compared to other av processors?
Thank you soooo much for this! No one explains this portion. 2 days I was trying to figure this out.
Hey, good one, and nice as you mentioned, as a speedy compliment to Jeff's video. Your in room results are very, very good (around +-2dB?) but I think you were being a bit underwhelmed since the Y axis is only showing 25dB. Setting it to industry de facto standard of 50 would make your bass almost perfectly flat! 😊
I never see the boost input PEQ.
A good companion to Jeff Mery’s tutorial
If pointer is annoying, an identical magc remote replacement without voice or pointer options is available (the centre-wheel has a loud click which, for me, is worse than a pointer). The LG universal remote (other models are compatible and cheaper ) is completely silent.
Tried Anthem to up grade from Emotiva XMC-1, I owned the previous AVM 60 but sold it. Used with Monitor Audio spkrs, it was too bright, not a natural sound. Ran ARC multiple times, changing mic positions slightly but it was still too bright and came to the conclusion the AKM dac was not a match for M.A. spkrs or they design it to be clinically flat with no warmth at all. Even adjusting the treble negative (-) dbs didn't help with the harshness. If you have very warm (rolled off high frequency) speakers or like "in your face sound" Anthem is for you
Does this work?
It works. Netflix and Prime video buttons work. Disney+ button does not work
I have the AVM 90 and I get what you’re saying - I found it to be finicky and difficult to get set up to hear amazing sound - but I finally did after months of working with it. My personal BKM was to also use a miniDSP so I could get that low end punch in my movies. I ran 5 microphone positions in ARC in an X top down pattern with MLP in center at ear height and then the front two about 1-2 ft forward and 6 in lower than MLP and the back two positions 1-2 ft back and 6in higher than MLP. My room I think is acoustically bad and is a functional living room so my settings are maxed out in about every way in ARC (I think I lose a lot of bass in the room by its nature so to get it back..) and have the bass shelf setting at 10 and then in ARC a bit of a house curve at 700 start with a -4dB slope downward from there. It sounds fantastic now. Full rich bass, not boomy, very even, super clear dialogue. I did set up a +10db (85 dB) increase at 20-30Hz in the miniDSP and then sloped it down to 75 dB at 100 Hz and have my dual subs treated as a single virtual sub by the AVM 90. I don’t let ARC adjust the bass below 80 Hz to preserve the miniDSP settings. My only gripes now are audio can be a little slow to play / be picked up by the AVM 90 and the fan noise does bug me some. I don’t always notice it but no other AVR I’ve ever had was as noisy with their internal fans. It’s livable and 80% of the time I never hear it running though.
" My only gripes now are audio can be a little slow to play / be picked up by the AVM 90" I just got an 1140 and if I rewind/forward in Plex then it takes 2-3s after the video resumes to hear the audio! Likewise playing music on Plex (misses the first second of every track) - admittedly Plex isn't my preferred music app
@@andrewlee7228 I know, it’s annoying. My AVM 90 is that way too. A full 3-4 seconds before audio starts playing from my Panasonic 4K player when you first start a movie. Sometimes it even gets confused between the default audio I selected for all channel or stereo when I manually have changed it to say Dolby Surround instead of DTS Neural:X and my subwoofers and speakers start popping like someone is jiggling the input to a loudspeaker and it scares the crap out of both me and my pets.
Was this before or after you did the MiniDSP with REW + MSO? Wondering if that process yielded good results with different subs, or if after that entire process you decided that 1 sub was still better.
After talking to a few people in the field, they said, I should have never tried to match SB1000 with M&K5100. A single M&K5100 sounds better and that is what I am still using.
Thanks for sharing this. I want to implement multiple subwoofer correction as well as the main speakers in a 2.2 setup in my living room and am a little lost in how to implement that with an AVR. I've seen discussion of Dirac with DLBC and this method as well.
I ended up getting a Trinnov altitude 16. It has it’s own quirks like slow startup and missing audio for a few seconds but at least it works.
Will you be doing a review on the Trinnov Alt 16? I would love to hear your thoughts on AVM70 vs Alt 16. I own both and agree both have their quirks.
With AVM70, I was not able to tune it with ARC. Trinnov, I ran sound setup once and haven't touched it since. The bootup time and missing audio for few seconds during track change is a negative. I prefer the Trinnov over the AVM70. I wish I had tried Lyngdorf.
