Breakups are very hard, especially at the onset. At that time, you are on opposite ends of a spectrum to the ex and there is literally nothing you can do. I fucked up, went NC for three weeks and on dumb advice from a female work mate, i reached out and got no response. I have been in NC for almost six weeks now, not heard a thing from her, but i do feel a lot better and i am seeing someone new as a result of my new found confidence. Thanks for this kind of video - the internet is flooded with “how to get your ex back” advice and that stuff is garbage. It takes away from what really needs to be happening. My breakup was so embarrassing. I feel like I regressed 20 years in my last breakup. I handled it so poorly and am so embarrassed that I pushed her to block me. After her block, I emailed her three times and left a drunken voicemail over the first few weeks of no contact. I also texted her a couple of times, though I am not sure they were delivered. In my communication post block, I told her I was okay with the decision and understood she needed space - I did too. My drunken voicemail might have been a little more emotional. 😅 But it was my final words to her that initiated the block that haunted me for weeks… until I finally forgave myself. A lot of what needs to be done post breakup and block is just healing your inner child. The pain you feel is because you yourself are not secure - once you focus on that, all that love they provided starts flooding in. One thing I loved about her was that she made me feel seen - it took me learning to see myself that way to realize the lesson in that relationship. It’s actually been a great lesson for me and I’ve grown thankful for the experience.

it's so hard not texting or calling especially when that's what you're used to doing all day everyday, the first full 24 hours of no contact is crucially painful.

I've been through this before and the most freeing feeling is when you wake up one day and realize you no longer want your ex back and you've accepted the breakup, I can't wait to get to that stage again.

he blocked me after I was being too needy and pushy, I wouldn't respect his space like he was asking. The only thing I'm not blocked on is phone/text (atleast last time I checked I wasn't), the only choice I have is to do me and let him come back around if he truly wants to. I got removed on WhatsApp in the initial days of breakup. Then after a week of NC, he randomly blocked me on FB and removed me on Instagram. I broke my NC to ask him, he said he did it for me. That his updates might trigger me. It's funny because i was silent on social media and so was he. He was the one who lectured me about handling the break-up with maturity and that blocking is stupid. I blocked him from everywhere except normal text and call.

I was just ghosted after being with my ex for 4 years. Lately our relationship was basically us not really seeing each other and me being upset about it and the fact that she took forever to respond to my texts. The last time we were supposed to go out she took forever to respond again and I fell asleep waiting for her. She said she was gonna go to the movies and I said bye and that was it. She never called or texted me again and I’m fine with it. She ended up deleting pics of me and her on her IG and then blocked me. I wasn’t hurt or mad. I think I was relieved because till the end she showed a lack of respect and decency.
