locksport: "I picked Abloy" -stickers available
I bought yet another set of keyless Abloy locks and picked, decoded, made keys for them.
Findings:
- 3 of them were normal locks
- 5 of them were missing disc behind fixed fat spacer. can not be picked using normal rear tensioner Abloy pick. In this video I demonstrate how to pick those.
- 1 of them was opened using brute force and due to this I failed to pick it. I managed to fix it.
I have ordered a set of "I picked Abloy" stickers to be used as rewards when a locksporter successfully picks an Abloy lock. Interesting to see when running out of those stickers. So far success ration has not been that high. Those Abloy locks offer a tough opponent.

locksport: Abloy Classic game, build 0.2

My original idea was to control this game by Arduino Uno. Plan was to have a display to present some text & running timer. Then i realized that Arduino Unos that i have are somewhat limited with available IOs for all this, would require extension IO board for Arduino (or SPI based display that i should order). Additional todo with Arduino: I use 12VDC leds, those can not be fed using Arduino di...

i decided to test the idea to make a game based on learning steps from newbie to master in art of Abloy Classic picking. This build 0.1 is just main HW. Purpose is to learn how good/bad picking experience this kind of tight pack of locks provides. Result: decent. Not as good as old school vice.
locksport: Abloy Classic handbag padlock front tensioning picked & made a key
Переглядів 253Місяць тому
Sometimes a locksporter may face an older Abloy Classic lock that does not have a zero-cut disc as rear disc. In those cases front tensioning pick is one alternative. I have not played so many with this type of front tensioning pick, so picking takes a bit more time, when navigating inside the lock is slowish.

I bought this lock without key. I had no suitable rear tensioner available for this type of Finnish Abloy Exec. I did not wanted to waste a key to make a rear tensioner. I noticed that the key guiding element is wider in this Exec type. So I made an export exec 2in1 pick and slightly shaped first blocking disc. Seems to be functioning solution. Lock is still fully functioning but the first disc...
locksport: Abloy Classic based quiz as a birthday present

This present got really good feedback from the target audience. I even got an opportunity to have a talk in birthday party related to this cool hobby (locksport) including history why i have started to play this sport. Really many (some even without technical background), wanted to try to win this quiz during the birthday party. No winners were found. I demonstrated how to beat the quiz 5 times...

concept is to replace non wanted code discs with a piece of brass tube. As a brass tube recycled brass from .308 used. Same brass as used as handles in 3in1 design in my previous yt-vid
locksport: 3in1 pick handles based on recycled material

I gave a try if used .308 Winchester brass could be turned to handles for a 3in1 pick. For some reason there is close to 2mm diameter hole/tube in brass separating primer and powder sides. This is fitting nicely to a 2mm diameter steel tube used in 3in1 pick.

Cool stickers! Nice picking as always and thanks for sharing.
Wonderful stickers and also great picking!! 😀🐈⬛🐾👍🍻
Very comprehensive Idanhurja Churrs you rock!
Nice job!
is there anything on the market that is close to your lockpick? because i don't have the tools to make my own thanks
@@urbexingTss yes there is. if you google jaakko fagerlund abloy classic lock pick you should find his pick.
Moikka. Mistä ostit sun ”Abloy-tiirikan?” Hyvää settiä sun videoilla :)
@@juhaojala4 terve, teen oikeastaan kaikki tiirikat itse.
Hello from Abloy’s homeland, Finland. It was possible because he knows the key code. If you try it with unknown lock, it would be much harder. 😂
Random lock picking / blind picking is for sure more challenging and not so commonly presented in youtube for high security locks. In locksport you only pick locks that you own and that are not in use. If used pick is able to turn all discs to all possible cut positions and its possible to jiggle test them, also blind picking is doable. I have blind picked Abloy locks up to Sento. So far have not got any keyless Easy padlocks to give a try, but have pwned many Sento/Exec/Profile/Classic padlocks.
is the key abloy made of gold?🤔

is the key abloy made of gold?
@@angelosangriomesa7032 no, nowdays they are new silver (uushopea in Finnish), not sure how it translates. i dont know which material used earlier, but not gold
Very cool
Now send to LPL and see how fast it picked 😂
@@Rakaikun this is a learning platform / toy for a beginner, not for a top end pro like LPL ;)
I really like this, beautifully made 👌👌
You picked them only once. This could be a fluke! :) Nice build, anyways!
@@nyosdroid868 heh, picked is picked :)
I love this idea. What about using a micro processor to sense the open and light the indicator and then the lock can be locked back. It can be programmed to keep lit till you press a reset button. Just a thought.
this was my original idea. I also planned to have a display to present some text & running timer. Then i realized that Arduino Unos that i have are somewhat limited with available IOs for all this, would require extension IO board for Arduino. Additional todo with Arduino: I use 12VDC leds, those can not be fed using Arduino digital outputs, transistors / similar required to fed higher power to leds. And pulldown resistors required for all digital inputs to detect lock openings reliable. All those require some effort to make, so i decided to do this game in smaller steps: its nice to get learnings from the user point of view early
Grande!!!
This is Super cool 😎 Love it all wired up and the Key Blanks for feet!!!😅👏👏👏🍻🐈⬛🐾🍻👏👏👏
Very cool!
Awesome game. Just need to wire a master blaster siren and it’s complete. lol. Really top notch work.
You could use relay locks, or something that can allow power from one end of the lock chain to the other. They can pick them in any order they want but the goal isn't met until the power reaches the end of the chain. Could put a timer on it that stops when the power meets the other end. Plenty of possibilities
Wow, that's fantastic! Thanks for sharing.
Top work.
That is ingenious! Thanks for sharing that great idea!
Estas loco, WOW me encanta!!!!!
I love it. That would be fun for me!! I want to see how you will do the electronics.
That is awesome!!!! 😃 That would be a super game to play!!! 👍👍👍🐾🐈⬛👏🍻
Crazy but great idea matey💡 👌 😀🐝
Nicely picked as always.
Wow very cool lock! Great picking 👏👏👏🐾🐈⬛👍🍻
Nice work. What hollow tube sizes are you using to make your picks. What is the material? Source?
@@laurenarndt464 thanks! rear tensioner is a shaped 1mm diameter ejector pin. picking tip tube is 1.5mm steel tube. picking tip is piece of bbq stick silver soldered into steel tube. ejector pin and steel tube ordered from aliexpress. bbq stick from local store. maybe could use 1.5mm ejector pin for rear tensioner, then would get a bit more robust 2in1 pick
@@idanhurja I see Aliexpress sells seemless capillary tubes, for example 1.4mm ID by 2.0mm OD. But, I suspect the material is too soft. What steel tubing are you using? Please, be specific.
Nice to see an alternative approach for these! Well picked and amazing that you could produce a key for that 💪💪
@@LockFumbler well, "traditional" rear tensioning approch not functioning, so then its good time to try something different. my second key was functioning one, first i failed to decode the lock correctly
Great video and nice picking! I think you should try to use some kind of adjustable collar for the front tensioner to make it easier to keep it perpendicular to the front disk. It appears that your front tensioner was twisting all over the place and I was expecting your picking tip to snap at any moment. Maybe you could have a piece of pipe with a set screw which would be logically similar to the "Community pick" that Sparrows sells (the pick that LPL and BosnianBill made)?
heh, it was all well under control. i was not afraid of snapping picking tip :) . You are absolutely correct, there was plenty of free space for the picking tip to move around in the lock. In this case i used shaped spring pin as front tensioner. Its not exactly round shaped. Any steel tube would be better.
Great job! Thanks for sharing and have a fantastic week.
Nicely picked. I do like front tensioning the half moon type locks.
Great picking explanation and key making!!😃👍🐈⬛🐾👏👏🍻
Well done! Nice approach of modifying the disc 👍👍 And Amazing tools, well used!
Awesome picking! 😃🐈⬛🐾👍🍻
Is this basic pick available commercially, or home made? Source perhaps? Very nice video!!
@@jackgates6949 thanks! unfortunately pick is not avail commercially. its home made by i. some other are selling picks for export version of abloy exec, like Hux maybe. if you google silver bullet pick might find it
@@idanhurja If there is enough interest, I could see if producing these commercially would be possible. Have to see what profiles it would work withh or if an universal version could be made.
i'm sorry, what language are you speaking on?
@@shmalevolokno english :) but with finnish dialect
Wowser awesome stuff mate i have several of these and have never had the gumption to do it properly i did it on one (filed to profile plate nubs down to nothing) but never thought to thin the tip enough to get past that horrid filler fingy churrs idanhurja sweet job as always!
Excellent picking as always. I have sento with the same set up. That’s a great idea of filing the profile plate.
thanks! @@JONSLOCKPICKING in sento disc controller is so tight this idea might not function or would require more tuning for the lock
@@idanhurja I think Sento would require off-center picking tool but the method that you used in some older video, namely silver soldering (or even glueing) a tube to half of the key and using that as the axis of half a picking tip, should work for every Sento lock unless I'm mistaken. However, such a tool will have a lot more play and identifying binding disk from slightly moving disk will be a lot harder. You can always decode a disk detainer lock as long as you can apply tension to the lock and then correctly identify *any* binding disk. That will get the lock open after tensioning the lock up to {number of disks} × {possible gate positions per disk} times which is obviously much easier task than the one in {possible gate positions per disk}^^{number of disks} you would have to battle against without feedback.
@@MikkoRantalainen that is exactly how i have picked Sento locks: one keyway side using pick. and turning those binding discs
Buen trabajo 🎉🎉🎉
These cheap versions definitely have different feedback through touch and sound compared to other versions of classic
@@Vision-xf8gl could be so, i have always considered locks as equal :)
Wow that looks very simple when you do it 👍👍 Where did you order the materials?
I used Aliexpress to order materials. There are also other alternatives. With Aliexpress there is always risk with material quality, but so far i have been lucky.
