You are just locking vtec on in the vtec lobe of the cam. No more vtec. Hi cam profile always on. You would have a better return with a non vtec head with cams Then doing this shit. You are turning a vtec head into a non vtec. Sell the ones you got, go get a nice set of cams and a ls head.
I know an easier way, without taking everything apart. Take the power from the VTEC solenoid, and tap it to the positive on battery. Works fine, I use to do it at the track.

And the battery doesn't send power untill you put the key in the. ignition.and turn it to the Acc Position. Then once you turn it to the ON position. Everything lights up. Then our turn it to(Start) the car turns on. And the key switches back to the ON Position. And then the Alternator is what keeps the Car Running. And while its running, it's recharging the Battery. And the battery is sending the power to the vtec Solenoid

Don’t do this!!! When Vtec at idle done this way u usually have low oil pressure at idle.....don’t put 12v to the solenoid
