藝綻室內樂團 Artsblooming Ensemble So the Oboe part is played on the Violin as Violin 2.

She may be more amazing than this eloquent composition. She has the light precision of touch to "moisten" some of dryness that can set in to modern music with a heavy pedal. Excellent. Seeing her focused concentration on stalking down the whole of this thing is mesmerizing. Disappointingly (perhaps ominously ) when I looked her up, I didn't come up with anything--at least on a cursory search. Anybody know about hearing more from this amazing artist?

it's music built on a collection of sounds and their interaction, not melody and accompaniment. Kurtag makes his chosen sounds very clear and their interaction and development is followable, even on the first listen, if you are listening actively. good expressive performance and nice piece too.

Phenomenal composition. She plays this piece so well it virtually belongs to her.

That seems like a reckless way to play repetitive notes, try alternating the fingers on the same note.

I think my mind exploded at 4:27... AAAAHHHHH!!! was pretty awesome. And the last one was pretty cool too.

Music doesnt necessary just focus on melody only, there are many other aspects that could be explored. listen carefully to the development and the contrast. Try listening to the music and find its sonority. You may find something new from it :) once again, i think this is a brilliant performance

I wished everyone who regard this as BS could be a bit more open minded. first of all, the performance is great. her tone and interpretation is great. I would compare Kurtag to late Beethoven. eg, Grosse Fugue, Op111. The rhythm is and harmonic plan is way ahead of his time, and every loves it.
