The zombies may be dumb enough to keep bumping into doors and windows when there's an easier route a centimeter away, but they are absolute geniuses when it comes to more complex navigation. Spotted a survivor on the top of a three-story building? Break the door down, walk all the way upstairs without falling, knock into the right door and navigate into their exact position, and finally, eat them alive. Too much proficiency for a rotting corpse.

You should never use fireman outfit, it give to you so much move speed and atack speed penalties also it gives a lot of insulation. So it makes you slower and tired faster. Rely on outfit who give no penalities and only use high insulation outfit at winter.

i grind mecahnics a lot (only level 6 rn) in my current save i only realized now that i could hotwire cars (i couldnt remember learning electricity.) its 1 month in and i literally just hotwired a car even though i was able to do it 20 days earlier...

Yes it did, here's some ways to counteract this: 1) When zombie is crawling through fence/window, simply push him. If you push him when he's mid crawl animation - he will be instantly knocked down below you, setups an easy kill 2) Use forced ground attack. Your first hit missed because you didn't do it. Yes, it's game jank that automatic ground attack detection didn't work, but you can play around this 3) Your second attack on that zombie missed because he was already standing up. Yes, it's PZ jank once again, but basically how the zed hitbox works is that the moment they're standing up, their hitbox is now under their legs, even if model is still in somewhat laying animation. So you were basically hitting a non-existent hitbox. Zomboid doesn't have physics based collision for your hits, instead it uses an arc. Due to your awkward angle and zombie hitbox changing the hit never landed PZ combat is all about feeling how it works, not about visual clarity. At first it feels rough and shitty (and in some parts it is janky AF), but when you master it - you can fight zeds borderline blindly, in a sense that your hands will do all kinds of complex inputs for you. Hope this helps anyone.
