Rookie archivist/animator. Professional douchebag.
A neurodivergent egghead that's basically just your average 'Golden-Age' Animation (1928-1969) enthusiast.
This channel was called "Diaz Bros." (short for "Diaz Brothers") initially because my brother was also involved with the channel. We must not speak of him.
I also used to upload videos on random subjects before deciding to undergo on just one topic for this particular channel.
Nothing on my channel is owned or originally from me unless otherwise noted. Any credit towards others will be given to certain videos.

The Bon Bon Parade (1935)
A poverty-stricken boy takes a trip to Candytown, where a lively parade of sweets and treats is hosted.
Happy 89th anniversary to this cartoon! (despite The Encyclopedia of Animated Cartoons saying the release date was October 10th)
Sourced from the DVD version with color and brightness correction and the original ending title (from a 16mm print in my collection) reinstated. Some of the audio was inexplicably fuzzy so it's fixed up with the cartoon's MeTV airing.
Uploaded in HD so UA-cam's automatic compression won't absolutely tank the video quality.
Credit to @bumbumdbear for the DVD version and @NotAnAnimationHistorian for the MeTV audio.

Two-Gun Mickey (1934) computer colorized titles

A lot of scenes were surprisingly cut from the Mickey's Mouse Tracks version, from Pete lighting a cigarette to Minnie attempting to shoot Pete to Mickey's battle with Pete's goons to Pete's first attempt at slicing Mickey. Most likely to cut the short down from 9 to 8 minutes. Credit to Клуб Disney on VK Video. Full video: mega.nz/file/ENB3ECgJ#RskXL2gQkjOM_yZRYlmMtux6zNE1qM81smhbQfgs1Jc

Unlike most of the recordings, this one was at 108% speed instead of 104%, so I had to slow it back further to get it just right. Apologies if the frame rate is lower than expected this time around. The Grocery Boy (1932) burlap reissue titles

Russian Disney Channel recording... includes headshot missing from @CDCB2's upload... yadda yadda yadda. Notably has the ending music non-warped, unlike the Disney Treasures DVD release. Credit to Клуб Disney on VK Video.
Traffic Troubles (1931) burlap reissue titles

Yet again, this Russian recording tops @CDCB2's American VHS recording, the main difference being that the full Mickey headshot is included. Credit to Клуб Disney on VK Video.

Once again, this Russian airing is a visual upgrade from @CDCB2's American VHS recording. Credit to Клуб Disney on VK Video.
Wild Waves (1929) burlap reissue title card with original end title
Переглядів 1,4 тис.3 місяці тому
@CDCB2's upload may have been from an American broadcast, but this Russian recording has better picture quality. The original end card was cut and "recreated" on the Disney Treasures DVD. Credit to Клуб Disney on VK Video.

A burlap reissue title card I don't think has appeared anywhere else online. The end titles are the original ones that can be found on the Disney Treasures DVD. Credit to Клуб Disney on VK Video.
The Scarlet Pumpernickel (1950) original opening titles (16mm projection)
Переглядів 8934 місяці тому
Originally purchased from Ebay. Another video shows what is claimed to be the actual OG titles with a better color range ( ua-cam.com/video/rw6-0wpXVzo/v-deo.html ), but I'd at least share a copy of the titles that haven't been filmed by a potato. Official restorations include the original ending rings so I'm not including them here. Sourced from a 16mm Eastmancolor print dated 1951 or 1971 (mo...

The 35mm French print this Toby the Pup cartoon was sourced from had the Radio Pictures opening audio, so I included the intro here. I will not be uploading the full cartoon as it will be released on Thunderbean's upcoming "Properly Dressed" Blu-Ray, though a 'work in progress' print was released on the Thunderbean Sneak Preview 2024 Blu-Ray. [NOTE: I made an earlier version before ultimately m...
Context-Free Cartoon Clips #1

I'm starting a new series (not too dissimilar to @RathouseFilmworks's "No Context Lantz" or @louhepton's "Your Favorite Cartoon Clips" series) where I pile up clips from cartoons (10 clips minimum) that I find funny with or without context. Most clips will include cartoons from the Golden Age of Animation (1928-1969) unless otherwise noted. Clips: 0:00 Mickey's Amateurs (1936) 0:23 Western Whoo...
Parrotville Post Office (1935) reconstructed music only track
Переглядів 8298 місяців тому
Happy Easter 2024! Something unrelated but since I haven't posted a video in over 4 months (damn), I might as well post something while the gettin's good! Noticing there were a lot of sound reissues of silent cartoons with music from "Parrotville Post Office", I figured I could reconstruct a "music only" version with as little to no sound effects as possible. Unfortunately I couldn't find any m...

"Nobody wants to fuck a cup!" 'That part' of the Cuphead fandom: ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) (This is self-deprecating humour)
I love how the zooming shield sound effect fits the shield.
Oh wow! I haven't seen it in such high quality in a long time. Thank you for sharing, I used to watch this all the time at my Grandparent's house on VHS.
Oh, Sweet, Huh?
BREAKING NEWS MKAY!!
Everyone is exaggerating about steve imo I feel like this version looks more dorky which fits the character
0:04 Opening Cue 1:07 Ending Cue Right?
Don't ask a question to which you already know the answer to.
The little mermaid with a big....PEENY
8:31 original end title?
yes, I've shared it on YT before but I re-recorded the projection in 4K 24FPS (so the image wouldn't flicker), and edited it to its proper speed & added color grading
@@diazbrothersyoutubeu can upload The Owl and the Pussycat (1934j (recreated titles) please?
Steve is the most generic white boy I’ve ever seen
Why does Steve look like a bad OC edited in
Steve's animation look like he belong in another cartoon😂😂😂 and this is a different voice isn't it? Also Laura Prepon was up to play Haley but it went to Seth's sister
Who the hell designed Steve, heck who voiced him. They’re both awful
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Literally what is this comment section
THAT'S WHAT I WAS ASKING
The joke is religious Jew do not eat pole it is simple
This is so uncanny
I’m not sure who designed the bears but they’ve always looked so creepy to me.
6:28 me when I remember that I have homework due on days I’m trying to relax 😂
Holy shit its scott the woz
Disney Plus Version
Omg wtf is that voice😭 what were the thinking
This for some odd reason hurts my head
This can't be real. Steve's design is to off.
Breaking news m’kay! A CC’s pizza employee got caught shitting in the wings again!
So original Steve is Sheldon Cooper?
I see mickey
He so terrifying but his voice makes me laugh
it's at 1:59
Steve looks like Billy
I feel like they probably had to produce a pilot by a certain point, and they didn't really have Steve's design down yet so we have this strange Elegy Of Emptiness version of Steve to be in the real ones place. Or maybe all the characters used to look like this to differentiate from Family Guy but Fox egged Seth on to make it look like Family Guy. And this Steve is a holdover from that era of development.
Mr. Goodman: Breaking News M’kay! Comedy Central is now canceling South Park, because the kids swear due to the boys swearing words, so if your child is watching South Park, please take their device from them immediately.
"Dont worry kids ill get you some food! ....in the beginning..." Thats the most accurate depiction of online Christians if ive ever seen one
Nice. This video has a much higher quality than the one on Dailymotion.
Porky is scary at the 1st one
Nice Toby The Pup cartoon from 1930 although it faced competition with the Warner Brothers cartoon series named Looney Tunes
I enjoyed this a Lot.😃❤
Rare!
That’s all folks
Why disnesy changed that scene in 1949 ? (ua-cam.com/video/h571lKFCOmk/v-deo.html) Think about ! And when the Talmud is knocking on your brain and door, don´t let it in !!!
With the text reading "Presenting Donald Duck" meaning that it could have both Mickey Mouse's headshot and card, but I could be wrong.
It most likely did
What's really strange about the leader is because there are two slides reading "Walt Disney Productions" with a 1967 copyright stamp.
A certain radio and later television network would later use those letters. So did the founders got the idea of the letters of the station from this short?
probably not
The fact that francine was smiling when klaus said it in the first episode
