I’ve been singing four years as a side hustle and sing a lot whether gigs, fun or practice. I sing a variety of genres and keys. My customers have said they hire me because of my ability to sing variety to reach more people and because I can sing different keys. I know when I’m pushing it and I drop the song from my practice set. With this being said, I totally agree with you. Thank you for making a short sweet video with excellent advice. I had vocal cord surgery 23 years ago, so caring for your voice is critical. Thanks again.

I have found what im good at singing in the most unknown place - I am similar to how Sammy Hagar sings. I do me though. Big difference than me trying to ‘parody’ Sammy. I love the ‘Crying technique’. Gives more tonal texture.

I agree you have to be able to feel it, or the audience won't. However ; Given individual vocal characteristics, which sometimes aligns more to certain styles.

Learning this air on tenor sax; thank you. Peter, heaps being for the clear enunciation and wonderful insights that really help to get a handle on this particular song.. Wow. Your students are certainly blessed! I love your style, just brilliant. Again, thanking you. ☺ Says Kahlil Gibran, "He who does not see the angels and devils in the beauty and malice of life will be far removed from knowledge, and his spirit will be empty of affection."

I sing almost every 2 weeks in 4 hours gigs with no issues. I had a slight cold and had a jam with a band. Next day and 3 days later I now can't sing as my cord are airy and end up screeching if I push like acdc . But no middle voce . Just air . I have a gig in 10 days

    • @the5minutesinger-askvsa739

You should physically feel that your voice is limber and supple. And when you sing you can sing to the best of your ability. If you're not warmed up enough you won't feel like you can sing at your best.

Also, I've found another benefit. When I'm recording an exercise for a student in the studio they have to remain silent. While when we are on line I can pop my speakers on mute and while I'm recording, the student can sing along. They can spend every second of the class working their voice and affirming what they have just learned. Then they have the ability to ask questions if they have any straight away.
