I think 400 is the perfect engine bore. I have a 1998 yz400f and it’s bar none the absolute best size engine I’ve ever rode with

I've been saying it for years, MX1 should be 400cc, if 350's are good, and 450's too powerful, it just makes sense. The secret is to de-stroke the 450, NOT smaller bore, less stroke means less rotating mass, much lighter feel, much more agile.

So its a small bore 450???

If only Yamaha would make a 400…. J/K They did. Not sure why they went 426, then 450. Maybe the performance wasn’t as up to par back then and needed some more CC to kill off the two stroke at the pro level.

A D6 won’t replace a D8 😂

Allow 300cc 2-strokes and 350cc 4-strokes in the same class. Problems solved.

Just go for the GasGas, the 350's are like an insane fast 250, suits you perfectly 😋 Add a nice cone valve and supertrax and you won't be dissapointed 🤙
