personal branding boils down to 3 basic things...
Here is my journey to leveraging "my brand" to meet hundreds of new people, find 2 internships during law school & land my dream job right out of law school (working as an IP & branding protection associate).
There's a lot of helpful information out there on this subject for someone who is JUST beginning - sometimes that information is WRONG or OVERCOMPLICATED. So here's my take on what personal branding boils down to & it's only 3 basic steps...

how networking came to the rescue
Переглядів 11День тому
I can't say it enough: network build your personal brand. Networking is just a fancy word for getting to know people and being curious. That's it. And if you don't believe that, then you need to watch this video. Because it was through networking that I saved myself from prolonged unemployment multiple times. Leave questions or recommendations for topic in the comments and be sure to subscribe!...
should i join law review?
Переглядів 27День тому
Back with another video recounting my time on law review during law school. It's an experience I'm still proud of today BUT there were definitely some: - learned lessons 📚 - big obstacles 🏆 - advice ❤️ I'd give to those considering it now! Remember: this is anecdotal. Take everything that works for you & leave the rest. While you're at it: leave a comment if you have any questions you'd like to...
how i passed the bar exam & what it was like
Переглядів 27День тому
As a former law student, I always appreciated it when people would share their experiences: with law school, classes, internships etc. The bar exam was no different. I want to return the favor and share my experience here in case it can help some future attorneys! You can expect the following discussion: 📚 being required to take a bar prep class in 3L 📚 picking out a bar prep program 📚 building...
my last year in law school

Here's me reflecting on my third & final year of law school (which, yes, was over a year ago and I honestly can't believe that). From the classes I took to the bar application to graduating, this is exactly what I would say to upcoming or current 3L students who are needing some insights (or encouragement!) surviving the "2L slump" in law school

Here's my reflection on 2L year - the classes, the extracurriculars, the obstacles. Mental health is a big theme for this one simply because it was a big theme of that year. I never knew they had a term for the challenges that many 2L students face during their second year but they do! The "2L Slump" - here's how I survived mine... how i survived my first year of law school

This is my 1L story: learning how to play the "mind game," adapting to the new world of academia I had found myself in, and maintaining routines & practices that I knew were good for me. If you're also on the other side of your 1L year, share in the comments what helped you most during that time! Do I need an IP lawyer?
Переглядів 4Місяць тому
This video is not legal advice. I am not your lawyer. Please go and speak to a lawyer in your area for specific, targeted advice for your situation. Here's me rambling ever-so-slightly about whether entrepreneurs should go to IP lawyers (or more importantly, WHEN they should go). Again, every situation is different (see disclaimer above). Should I go to law school?
Переглядів 202 місяці тому
"It depends!" Because, it really *does* depend: on the person, the goals, the experience you're looking for. I'm not about to tell anyone straight up that they shouldn't go to law school. But I will be honest about my experience and my discernment process for deciding whether I should've gone to law school. Let me know what you think in the comments. Please feel free to share with any aspiring ...

What I would do differently during my second year of law school...
Переглядів 94 місяці тому
If I could do my 2L year over again, this is what I'd do differently... 🗣 🏋️‍♀️ 🩺 ☀️ 2L year was different from 1L because the workload was higher. More extracurriculars, more agency over your class types, just overall more opportunities to grab your law school journey by the horns and show it where you want to go. That can be exciting but also very overwhelming. If you're not careful, you can ...
