I got a 8.8 rear I bought for real cheap. it had 3.27 gears, after throwing it in my V6 mustang and changing the speedo gear. the speed limiter was at 95 :-( Which sucks cause with the 4.2L V6 I have it's almost hitting that at the drag strip, and I just can't afford a tuner right now to remove the speed limiter...
You obviously didnt take your transmission apart to replace the speedogear. One goes in the trans, the other in the cpeedo cluster.
