one question. If you changed the ecu isnt the vin number still the same as the 2008 car? So is it also possible to change the vin # to your correct vin #. For example if you move to California or sell the car and it needed to get smogged,or that one day(eventually they probably will) your state or government decides to make smog mandatory. Even though it wont pass with a super charger(gas hog). Although it may pass smog with a small turbo charger(burns fuel more efficiency)if you take it to a referee station to show that its emissions are better than the stock motor it came with. Even though if you did have a supercharger and they just plugged into the obd port to see if it has any fault codes. And they never opened up the hood. Then I'm sure it would pass smog. Because that's basically all they do with my acura and it automatically sends the my ECU vin # to the DMV saying it passed smog. Not like my older cars where they actually had to put the detector in the tail pipe then hold the car at different speeds. Although 20+ years ago I used to have a buddy that did smog checks. That I would take my 1990 CRX that did 10.3 @136 mph 1/4 mile( All motor). Who was like I will make your car pass smog.. just as he puts a rag over the end of the thing and shoves it in my exhaust pipe. 😂

The TFI power box or similar is recommended because with the exhaust there is less restriction and therefore, the engine will run leaner. An engine running lean can cause damage.

85mm x 95mm 14:1 stroker, serious fuel system 1000cc+ injectors with race gas, a lot of head work-... seat blend. pocket port. shave valve guides. port-match head. and intake manifold. and headers top it with skunk2 pro 3 or drag cartel cams depending on your altitude,... 300hp N/A recipe for DFW area elevation
To some extent john's correct. But it really can be as simple as fuel change. 1600cc+ injectors a big fuel pump nitrometh 50/50 and a good tuner can get you to 300 or at least close to it.
