    This is for french grip. Unless you play french grip having to swap from french to matched grip is pointless. Do you have a tutorial on how to do it with matched grip aka American style?

    • @blasfemus1663
      @blasfemus1663 3 місяці тому

      Did you try to do it? You don’t have to stick to one grip. If you will get efficient with the exercises Ive mentioned, you can just switch between grip types. Also, it will strengthen your fingers, you will be faster with any grip.

    Thank you for zooming in on your hand while demonstrating the technique. I’ve found myself pausing and zooming in on other videos to see how they’re holding the stick + the movement of it. Your video is the best one I’ve seen on this so far. Subscribing right now

      @@blasfemus1663 I’ve been working your exercises since seeing the video. The only thing I’m trying to get down is the double stroke roll. I’m practicing the push/pull technique but I see other people getting good double strokes and not using that technique. I’d like to see how you go about doing that

    I don't know if you'll reply to this or not but when I try this grip the stick starts rolling slowly..is it normal?

    • @blasfemus1663
      @blasfemus1663 3 місяці тому

      Sorry I didnt answer a month ago. Yeah, that is normal, you have to just repeat the exercises. With experience your sticks will move less and less. Also your fingers are different than mine, try to look for the best stick position with them.

      Thanks! Try doing the 1 finger exercise - 1 minute for a finger. Then do this 1-10-1 bars exercise. It should take you around 15 minutes. 4-5 times a week should be enough. Have a good practise!

      Hey! The only exercises I can think of are in the video. Do not try to fast, let the rebound do the work. You can also try playing in tripletes, gives your hand a different feeling. A good starting point for me is 180bpm (played in 8th notes) or 120bpm (8th notes tripletes).
