question, why not still use barrier film over the bottom of the machine ( needle side ) for the extra protection while also only creating a hole with the cartridge? you still get to use the grip regardless so why not completely wrap your machine?

I was using the crappy Amazon one and getting some good results. Only thing was it was hard to put the ink in. So I gave a tattoo on real human skin. And it went in no problem. It’s so different than the fake skin. So if u have willing victims go ahead and use their human skin

Oh yea with my cheap mats I stack at least one under and It is ok but I can’t shade or even pack ink in the cheap skin

And for me the fake skin that’s good is kinda too expensive lol

I like to use barrier film or plastic wrap on tube/grip & then run soft sport tape over top that. I don’t trust just sport tape as barrier protection. We all do it differently I guess.
