You can record all you want but you are legally not allowed to stay less than 20 feet away from an officer performing his duties. If he insists you to stop recording or breaks your camera, even if you are standing more than 20 feet away, then you absolutely have the right to sue and then the officer needs to be reprimanded. But we don't see this happening here.
