I was there that day. Even as a Norwegian I was absolutely freezing. Never went back and I still associate Key West with icing winds and being utterly chilled.

I think I saw some documentary on this where they built out houses during WWI or WWII and eventually they became uninhabited. Like it was to cost prohibitive work to ship in food and people in and out and than yeah hurricanes.

Saw them at the LG Arena Birmingham in 2009. Didn't realise how much I'd gone on about them until I was bought tickets (as a surprise) for this gig by my family for my 54th birthday!!!!! You're never too old to be in love with Green Day! And it was, and still is, the best day of my life. Stood about 1/3 of the pitch away from the stage.
