Reupholster My Boat For UNDER $500 | 1994 Malibu Flightcraft
In this video, Boat upholstery repair. We recently purchased a 1994 Malibu Flightcraft boat in August, and spent most of the last weeks of summer 2023 out on the lake. One big issue with this boat however is the interior. The 30+ year old upholstery has met it's limit and needs to be replaced desperately. Marine Upholstery can be very expensive to have done. Having not sewed a single stitch since 7th Grade Home Ec, I decided to take on the challenge of reupholstering the entire boat. Having learned a lot about myself during this project I can say I believe Sewing Is a Life Skill. Enjoy! Subscribe ❣️

How much investment in your 10acr up to date
Not that much honestly. Idk for sure but tractor, barn and greenhouse and things for the animals around 7-10K maybe. Much more in blood, sweat and tears.
If you want to see the green house . ⚠️Click here for updated 2023 tour ⚠️ - ua-cam.com/video/l9O-M8VIMRo/v-deo.html
You’re like me, you can’t be still……………
50,000 gallons is crazy, if you got 100,000 ducks lol, adult ducks need give or take a half gallon of water a day
Haha, yes lots of water.
I yanked my 8N out of a barn with a skid steer, where the owner said it sat for the last 20 years. Had to drag it home. Paid $300 because that's what he said he could get for it after pulling some parts off and scrapping the rest. It is running and doing work now. He has another one that he said I can have for free, apparently in needs the engine rebuilt. Either I take it or the scrap yard gets it. So, I am about to have two of these tractors. They are much better drug out of their graves and put back to work vs being cut apart and melted down.
Sounds like you have a lot of fun in your future. Enjoy the tractors!! ❤️
Did you check the manifold flatness?
Eyeball. Which is junk. I really just want to try the product and see how it went. But you are right, it should be something to look at.
Can't beat that Minnesota accent.
Haha, thanks! 🤣
Something tells me the Mrs. hears way too much about the tractor!!!😂
Haha, sometimes.
Gread vid ! I have my grandpa’s 1951 Ford 8N. Very unique and easy to work on when needed. Built a carry-all (frame from Rural King) to haul around small stuff and the grandkids. My grandson is learning to drive his great-great grandpa’s tractor !
That is so awesome!! ❤️
Need to have a disposable rag, or paper towels to clean out the oil filter canister before you put the new oil filter in, as don’t want to contaminate fresh oil with dirty oil.
Hey Ray, that’s a pretty good idea. I usually run a few once’s of new oil through the fill and out the plug as well. Who knows if it does a dang thing, but I like the feeling of flushing out any settle grit. Thanks for the comment.
@@LohreFarm just noticed there is a drain plug on the bottom of the filter canister . On my collector cars, there is none. Have to use a lot of rags !
I just did this with pumpkins not knowing there's a name for it! I'm happy to report that they seem to be growing nicely. ❤️
That’s awesome! Enjoy your gardening season. ❤️
Beautiful garden. I've gardened my whole life and never heard of chaos gardening but your garden is absolutely gorgeous 💜🙏💜 I'm definitely going to chaos my fall garden 💜💜
That's awesome. It is so much fun. Wait til you start finding all of the little hidden delights.
Erm what the sigma
Mine do this but like, it's definitely directed to other hens
about transmission look at at a Ferguson 20, it is the licens Ford made the late 30th and 40th tractors after😁
AWESOME idea on pipe modification on back blade. 👍🏼
Oh Thanks! It works great.
On an 8N, can I drain just the transmission with the bolt you chose not to remove and then refill just the transmission through the "radiator type" cap you removed? Its my first oil change and my transmission sounds low on fluid so I wanted to do it first.
These are not independent from one another. You change all of the fluid, or none. I believe the separate plugs are simply to remove dirt debris easier.
Have you ever thought about bees on your homestead. You could sell the honey at your stand, local stores (offer them 20 percent that seen to be the going rate) good pollinaters. Check out some videos. Alot of information about it on UA-cam. Great Homestead !
We have. However, there are only so many things I can have time for. I honestly would love to do this at some point down the road.
Have you ever thought of having bees. Could sell the honey at your veggie stand and maybe at some local stores, ect. Just a thought. Check out some videos on it and see if it's right for you.
Bees would be an awesome addition. We have worked really hard to attract as many as we can to the property. I have a friend that I would like to convince to put some of his bees here.
The next implement to add is a marriage counselor ❤lol
Sheeesh. Haha. We had a pretty fun time making the opening of that.
thanks
You are welcome.
Do you know Jesus is a messenger of God
Thanks for your videos. I changed my motor oil yesterday. What do I do with that other canister on the otherside of tractor that reads oil level?
I believe you are talking about the air filter?
@@LohreFarm I'm not sure. If you are sitting on tractor it's on the right side. It says oil level on it. If it is air filter it confuse me.
@johnnyflapcakes2079 yep that sounds like the air filter. The bottom part should have a latch that will allow you to clean it out. It contains oil to capture debris before the carb.
@@LohreFarm Sounds great Thanks!
hello how are you
Could you make a video on HOW to hook it up and use it? I’ve got the same exact one for my 8n and I’m having trouble getting it to dig going forward.
Yes, that might be a decent video. I would say though, think of it more as a scoop rather than a shovel.
Great video! Clean and concise, no bs filler. Good work!
Thank you! That was so nice of you to say. I try! I get tired of the filler videos as well.
We make all our own shavings for our animals. My husband takes a log and runs the chain saw lengthwise down it in strips and shaving will come out of the back of the saw. It’s fast and easy. Sometimes you can get shavings from someone who has a sawmill.
Great idea! Tons of people who are into wood working are usually trying to find a way to get rid of them as well. Thanks for the awesome suggestions.
Way to cut off your wife...she clearly know the trees better than you. Crappy relationship...
I have 1947 8N. Am from Auburn, Kansas. Thanks !
Awesome. Thanks for sharing!
1948 8n Wellington, Ks.
@@anthonyj5298 awesome. Keep them old wheels rollin’
Wonderful 🐓
How sad. You NEED a tractor!
Squash was part of the the 3 sisters not pumpkins. Js
Good clarification.
I love to see I am not the only one that happens to.
Haha. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for this. I have an 8n and have been needing to do this and finally decided to research it. Your vid and instructions are great! Thank you so much! Liked and subscribed.
That’s awesome. Hope everything went well for you. Enjoy the tractor.
1947 8N. … 5 years older than I am
Awesome! I’m sure you are both in excellent shape after this many years!
Any chance you can tell me what that attachment was originally and or what discs you bought?
The attachment was I believe a home made bale spear. I found the disks on Amazon and made my own mounting brackets, including the C bolts to mount them.
I live in Missouri and I have a 1952 8n ford
Yours is basically brand new compared to mine. 🤣 That’s awesome!
@@LohreFarm ya now if only I could get it running right lol
A finishing mower would be nice if you find a deal.😉
I agree! Let me go talk to the wife. 😂
And he didn’t drain the transmission drain, which is part of the whole system.
It appears almost of you questions or concerns could be answered by watching the whole video. I think you'll get it figured out.
So I figured this out. He actually did this correctly for earlier model 8n tractors and wrong for later model tractors.
As I said in the video, this is a 1949 8N.
Greetings Shane! I was looking up the old team members and found your YT channel, hope you and the family are all keeping well!
That's awesome. Thanks for the message. Same to you!
Subbed❤❤
Refer to figure 24 of the manual if you don’t understand what he did wrong.
Everyone, this is the wrong way to service the tractor. He mixed up the transmission oil and the hydraulic fluid. Holy smokes.
Um, good lord, is your tractor still running. You drained the hydraulic system and filled up the transmission oil. Or am I missing something here.?!!!!! Those are two separate drain plugs. Did you read the manual?
I have a 48 8N thats been in the family since new. It was in great shape for its age. I am currently in the middle of restoring it and have it mostly apart. I really like these 8Ns though and thinking about buying more to fix up. I can tell you love yours as well. I think my wife is starting to get sick of me talking about the tractor all the time lately.
Haha. I can certainly understand that. I get pretty excited about stuff, and I’m sure Sarah gets tired of hearing about it as well. It all seems to work out in the end. I love these tractors and you can bet if I had more room I’d have a fleet of them being fixed up too. Good luck!
Hi. What hydraulic fluid are you using? I got a 39 on and a 47 8n I'm about to start rebuilding and am looking for real-life info on what people are using, TIA
I believe this was universal tractor fluid from O'Reilly's. It seemed to be working fine. Been using it a couple of years.
Thanks
Thanks for the video. As someone who has a shitty channel I n ow how much time it takes. I am getting one of these for my new homestead and trying to grab some of the same gear that you have. Much appreciated.
absolutely. appreciate the message. The UA-cam thing takes a massive amount of time and effort. It's nice when people watch the videos and enjoy them. Thank You. best of luck!
Adhd gardening
Haha, pretty much.
I believe it’s a low and hi range leaver and you can use it in any gear
Correct. It really doesn’t change the amount of power though. Honestly the low gears are simply annoying. Haha
The MSN said I shouldn't do any research online even, they said only they could do research........... ????? :) PS I have no idea if mine is even an 8N, something tells me it's newer than a 8N, like a 600 or 800 or 900. It looks close to the one I knew was an 8N but that one went to my sister. I got it when I inherited the farm, it's older than me for sure (I'm 65), As for oil I want to say Dad used SAE 30. I have dozens of empty SAE 30 cans all over the shop. Myself I was thinking about 10-W30, but maybe it should be a bit heavier. ps My farm is in MN too, DL area. From what I've seen online, it's the trans/hydraulic oil that most likely really needs changing.
Yes, Clean new trans fluid definitely makes a huge difference. As far as the oil. idk, Minnesota is a tough spot for dealing with massive swings in the weather temp during the year. I know I want mine to start pretty easy in the winter to plow snow.
