The American Indian Language Development Institute's (AILDI) mission is to provide critical training to strengthen efforts to revitalize and promote the use of Indigenous languages across generations. This is accomplished by engaging educators, schools, Indigenous communities and policy makers nationally and internationally through outreach, transformative teaching, purposeful research and collaborative partnerships. As a result of our work, we envision that the larger society will know that language revitalization is critical to sustain and reinforce Indigenous linguistic, cultural, and spiritual health and identity.
AILDI Podcast Episode 4: North Star Collective ft. Phil Cash Cash & Inés Hernandez
In this episode, we are joined by two members of the North Star Collective, or Luk’upsíimey. They are a group of Nez Perce artists, writers, and Indigenous language activists who write and perform in the Niimiipuutimt/Nez Perce language. We discuss tips for starting similar initiatives in your own communities, and share some poetry and music with each other.

This was done as a U of A Language Immersion lesson, It has nothing to do with the people who are in the video. If you look at who it was published by it is the AILDUIA program which is an indigenous language program from U of A, which helps preserve endangered languages. So please don't disrespect the people who are in the video.

Show the hopi language to every body isnt dispreectfull but what needs to happen the more outsiders are going to learn and better chance immerse themselfs into our language insted of the ither way around....not sharing the language hurts us more and we lose it people can open there minds and explore and share our culture to others its better then keeping ut to ourselfs and then soon letting our identity die besides it is our original land and the people who come here should know hopi just like any ither country you go to and why do you say our cultre but then you hopi native american isnt a cultre but a race we decide about OUR culture not an outsider even if there native american it dosent mean there hopi
