I would have bought a new one, changed out the motor, and returned the new one with the bad motor. Ok, in my dreams inwould have done that😂
Haha, Yeah the new one is $700.
That some nice space, Jeff!
Thanks Ken! Can’t wait to start using it!
I would’ve went for a road trip!😊
@@goodvibrations253 I was worried it would have been 2 road trips, one to drop off and one to pick up :). Thanks for watching!
I worked a summer at a lumber yard building motor mounts with my uncle. This video brought all that back to me, and is some really good work with scrap. So, thank you for that. I hope you get it all worked out.
@@AthomeBurnerphone-cu7mm Thanks! I appreciate you watching!
What a hassle! Many years ago my cousin borrowed my DeWalt planer and broke the drive belt. He found someone near Syracuse that I think was a service center but that was at least a decade ago!
Yeah probably not a big selling point for Dewalt, I mean Stanley
Good luck with the repair. I hope Dewalt will stand behind the product and ship it back just like it came. Stay safe.
Thanks I hope so too. Just surprising that there isn’t any place closer. We aren’t out in the sticks :)
👍😇👌💪🍻
220 miles away. Pain in the butt. I went through something similar but luckily it was only a 40 minute drive. Crazy price for packaging. Great solution. 👍👍Ben
Fortunately they are paying the shipping.
Jeff nice Going with the Woodyard Sir. Nice looking Log Length Firewood. Should have Plenty of Room to Turn Around your Equipment. Recovering at Home for the Next 2weeks. Had a Slight Heart Attack last Thursday Night. I can start Cutting and Splitting in about 2weeks at 1to2hours a Day every other Day. I will Try to Join in on Friday Night Live, no Guarantee's as I get Tired very Easy. Stay Safe out there and see you at the next Video. Ron
Ron I will pray for a quick recovery again. After this year, you should have a great year next year. Get better my friend!
👌😇👍🍻
Thanks Dave!
Never enough space for a growing woodyard. I would say yes to a shed cover for the sawmill - helps with the longevity of the machine. Stay safe.
Thanks Robert! I already have some of the 6x6’s cut for the posts, but probably not going to go up until next year. I have a place to park it under cover at home for the winter. Just not tall enough to do any cutting under that roof. Thanks for watching!
Looking good Jeff!
Thanks Will! I hope all is well with you my friend!
Man I hate to be the guy but man that’s a lot of trees gone. I understand you’ll use the wood but nature is becoming more scarce than cities at this point. Try not industrialize too much, hope the wood mill works out
I actually have 50 acres and all but what you see is wooded. More trees that you can shake a stick at. I mostly do bundles firewood for 2 small bundle stands for campfires. Thanks for watching!
@ wasnt tryna rule you up. Just seen too many places loose all touch with nature. It’s a truly scary sight
@ yea I agree. I have always been selective and try to take trees that have already come down already. One of the reasons I bought my first mill was to be able to mill wood to be used on the property. All of the white pine inside my camp came off the property. Check out one of my first videos showing the camp. My Adirondack Hideaway ua-cam.com/video/r5TgfbLC3vA/v-deo.html
Looking good Jeff! Have a good one, Ben
Thanks Ben, you too!
😇👍👌🧐💪🍻
Very nice job young man. You're very lucky to have such a nice piece of property to escape from the daily grind. Stay safe.
@@robert.brokaw3829Thanks Robert. It’s a labor of love built over many years.
Beautiful oak boards there Jeff. Love the mill!
Thanks Paul! It has been a lot of fun to run!
Good morning Jeff, that’s one nice sawmill, safe sawing my friend👍🇺🇸
Good morning Larry & Robin, thanks, I love it. I had an LT15 for 4 years before upgrading it. Love the hydraulics. Have a great day!
Love the grain in that oak! My cousin has had the lt 15 for years, still does, but he also upgraded about 2 years ago to the 35. I think he finally realized that we were getting too old to manhandle those logs lol. Nice video! Stay safe and have a great day…
Hi Donald, thanks for watching! That is the same reason I upgraded. I started with the LT15 but the hydraulics are so nice!
Nice job Jeff! Beautiful wood!
@@NeighborlyHomestead Thanks! Love the unique characteristics of different species of wood.
Hey Jeff , glad your family got home safe . I live at Spartanburg SC which is an hour from Asheville and an hour from Charolette . That’s why I missed Bunyan was because of the hurricane . Nice milling 👍🏻🇺🇸
@@inthebackyardwithdel438 Hi Del. It sounds like a war zone. How did you make out? I used to lead the Upward Basketball program at my church and Upward was based out of Spartanburg.
@@adirondackwoodsman Hey Jeff , we faired pretty good . No damage to our home . We were lucky . One street over a couple of houses were destroyed . I know exactly where the Upward sports complex is at . Small world . We were without power for 10 days and water for 5 but we are very blessed . Thanks for asking . 👍🏻🇺🇸
@@inthebackyardwithdel438 I am glad you made out okay. Still praying for everyone down there.
Nice log Jeff. I had a 40" (at the base) red oak fall a few years ago and tried to get someone to saw it for me but to no avail. I was able to buck it up for firewood that I am still using today. Unfortunately, I don't have many sawyers in my area. Nice haul of lumber cut from that log. Stay safe.
Hey Robert, my mill wouldn’t handle something that big. You would need one with a wide option, like an LT40wide. I have seen where some people have quartered up one with a chainsaw with a huge rip chain so they could put it on a mill. Thanks for watching
Hey Jeff, a beautiful looking Oak Log. You also get a little Firewood from it. Didn't make Bunyan this year, or I doubt next year. To much going on for now. Just trying to get ahead on my Firewood with my Chainsaw and Axe. Trying to get some more Logs but my Tree Service is not Doing it anymore. Keep up your Great Video's. Ron from the Woodyard in Duanesburg NY.
Ron, I bought 3 9’ sections but the seller kept the branch wood. Keep at it, but every once in a while, as my father used to say, take a break!
Howdy Jeff, sorry we missed you at Bunyan. Cool story about your sister-in-law and Austin. Good looking log you have on the LT35. Mike 🔥🪵
Yeah I can’t believe I missed you guys but it was a busy show. I had to edit my video of Austin and send it to them because they wanted to use it at a show this past weekend and reached out to me. Pretty cool and really nice people.
Beautiful log Jeff. I’ll bet the rest of that tree made some great firewood. I think red oak is my favorite firewood. Makes lots of heat with very little ash. I love the smell when sawing or splitting. What’s going to happen with all that gorgeous lumber? Thanks for sharing your experience.
@@frankdrahos8569 Hi Frank, I bought the tree, it was a 27’ long trunk that I cut into 3 9’ sections. The seller kept the other firewood. All 3 sections were just as nice.l and I got quite a bit of lumber. I will be selling the lumber. Thanks for watching!
Hey Jeff. That is a great looking log. You did well with that sucker. Not to mention your saw mill has me drooling. Man oh man that is a nice mill.
@@OpenAirAdventure Hi Kenny, it was a great log! Wish they were all that nice. I started with an LT15 mill and upgraded a couple of years ago. Thanks for watching!
What, no nails, pretty rare for you! 🤣 Good job.
Haha yes the entire oak tree was nail free. Surprising since it came out of Rome in someone's side yard.
Lot of work Jeff. Great job!
Thanks Nancy!
Beautiful area Jeff. You are lucky to have such a nice piece of property. Stay safe.
@@robert.brokaw3829 thanks Robert! I do consider myself blessed. Believe me, I don’t take it for granted. Be well!
Hey Jeff , the drive looks great . Nice work .👍🏻🇺🇸
Thanks Del!! Now it’s time to blow the leaves off.
Beautiful day at our camp on Cranberry Lake today too. Bittersweet though, closing up for the season ☹️. We’ll be back in the spring. Hope you had a productive day splitting. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Yeah we had a hard frost last night. Did you see the northern lights last night? They were beautiful here.
That looks like a good way to dry your lumber. Does that reduce the drying time??
Yes it takes about 5-6 weeks in the greenhouse. Much faster than outside.
Beautiful day Jeff.
Yes it was. I think tomorrow is supposed to be nice as well and then rain on Sunday here. Have a great weekend!
Beautiful day, great day for splitting wood. Enjoy , Ben 👋😎👍🪵🪓
Yes it is! Time to get started
Nice job Jeff - a lot more parking area and the driveway won't be as rutted for the winter. Stay safe.
Thanks Robert. A little every year and should be done by 2040 😂
Hello Jeff, ain’t tractors great😂👍🇺🇸
You got that right!
Looks great Jeff
Thanks Kenny!
Jeff, that was relaxing to watch.
Glad you enjoyed it
There is something very satisfying about spreading some new stone! A great addition to your tractor would be to add rear top and tilt cylinders to your three point hitch. That, coupled with your land plane, makes crowning and maintaining a gravel driveway really easy.
Hi Dick, I have the 4th and 5th function ordered, just waiting for the dealer to have time to install. I got that suggestion from you. Thanks Jeff
Thanks for bringing the show to us Jeff!
@@NeighborlyHomestead You’re welcome, thanks for watching!
Very good interview of the new Log Ox splitter. Easy to see a lot of thought went int the construction process. Nice splitter!
@@WestwayFirewood1313 thanks, yes Austin is a really neat guy as well. It is a great step Up From a box store splitter.
The show was amazing! We enjoyed getting to meet you and seeing all the new equipment. Giving some serious thought about getting the Allwood sorting table.
I enjoyed meeting you and your wife in person as well. Thanks for making the trip.
It was a great show Jeff. I was looking forward to seeing you, but somehow our paths didn’t cross. Disappointed…
Hey Dick, I saw you on Friday night, of course I look a lot younger in person 😂
@@adirondackwoodsman I do remember seeing you Jeff. I think we talked briefly about your camp siding project. I guess I was trying to say we didn’t have a chance to talk much like we did at Jack’s and then Brad’s at the Fellowship. And… you’re a young guy. You should look young ha!! 🙂
@@oldguyfirewood I know what you mean. I didn’t get to talk with half the people I wanted to on Friday night. I’ll definitely have to have you over if you come up for Boonville next year. I had John Fama and Will Wolcott stop by this past year and we spent some time around the camp fire. What town are you in? If we go visit our Daughter in Georgia, maybe we can hook up as well.
