Sorry if you saw me upload this twice. There was a popping noise that I didn't figure out how to fix until right after the video posted. 😓 I make these videos for me to enjoy first, and it was seriously ruining my enjoyment of it.
Anyways, I think this might be my favorite in the whole collection. I have no idea where it plays or if it's even used in any of the visual novels. And I probably wouldn't have listened to this song if not for this collection.

I really like how this one came out. I finished matsuribayashi recently, still not sure what I think about it. But it's sweet that a story about forgiveness ends with "beyond the sky". I really loved this arrangement and the harmony at the end. It really gives a feeling of having a weight lifted from you. Just found out Xenosaga Episode 1 has official sheet music yippee godsibb.net/index.php?media/albums/xenosaga-episode-i-official-soundtrack-piano-sheets.69/ I'm not a fan of the midi human voice sound that goes "aaaaaah", but pan flute should be an appropriate replacement. did my best to make it sound good.

How do you think the versions on this book compare to the ones in the Umineko x Higurashi piano collections? I have both but I don't know which to start focusing on.
I went and listened to alive from the higurashixumineko collection. That one is a bit different. I think this one from the dai piano collection is more accurate to the version you hear in the VN and a bit longer too. they seem to be slightly different renditions. does the higurashi x umineko collection have sheet music? i could only find a vgmdb page for it but never any sheets

Looking forward to seeing how Mortal Stampede looks when the time comes ~ I've had the sheet music book for ages but those triplet chords are a killer, even to this day I don't see myself learning it anytime soon hahaha. Speaking of the sheet music - I can't help but notice you have a different cover, and font on the scans than what I have? It's very similar but Rika and Bernkastel have shards of the characters in the background with a more handwritten signature, I'm curious if it was a second print of the sheet music at some point, though you've got extremely clean scans in any case.
i have the revised edition, i think its printed in 2023? it adds a few more songs from umineko onto the end of the book. I just looked up the 2009 version and i like that cover a lot more :( idk why they changed it.
Crazy.... Agreed on the cover, I feel like it really tied the two franchises a lot more lore-wise with Rika and memory fragments, it's crazy to think they omitted it! Still, more songs is always nice. I noticed that after my comment. In fact the reprint is a lot more legible as well. It's almost as if they wanted to make a more "professional" printing, but sacrificed a small bit of character in the process. Either way, both both books are an absolute gem to have, and I love that someone such as yourself has taken it upon themselves to transcribe the book into MIDI, which is really helpful for me admittedly xD
