No, I thinks it’s the same Neva from the beginning, the intro shows us the end of the gameplay. Since chapter one, we see the girl and Neva journey throughout the land, battling the evil that’s plaguing the lands. At the end, the evil scars Neva trying to infect her but Neva fights back, later she has an offspring with the Grey Wolf we see earlier. However, the evil returns to finish what it started, so were brought back to the beginning of the game. Neva fights back but is injured in battle, sacrificing herself, she transforms the evil into a tree, giving it new life. The girl mourns her friend and companion, leaving her with her offspring to take care of. But she also leaves behind hope, a new life, a new beginning. Wow, did not expect it to go that deep! But that’s how I interpreted the story.

The beginning is a trap. It's the ending. The real game starts at the beginning of Chapter 1. So yeah, Neva was the one dying all along, and I fell from it. Even though there's clues in the intro (Neva was always white, not grey)

It really is :) Perfect to chill with after a tough day at work.

The super powered attacked when you switch character in a attack could almost be seen as a takedown. But it would have be cool with real finishers.

It’s true that it isn’t the same amount of backtracking, but I’m guessing there is more to a metroidvania then backtracking.

You can choose difficulty and make it harder :) Plus all the unlocks that happen later on changes things to :)
