Are you guys still around? : 0 Your website link isn't working, but it'd be awesome to take your courses~ <3
Hello, I have been in love with the fabric arts since I was a teenager. I have very limited sewing skills but my goals would be able to learn how to sew and tailor. I am 34 now and I know I am starting late but I am hoping that I can catch up so that I might be able to run my own tailoring business in the future. Do you courses have any payment plans or financial aid offerings?
😘🍄🙌🏽
i want to go to your school
i just found this and you stopped uploading... why...

This honestly seems like a great idea for those who also are interested in the field but are not sure if they would trully like it.
Thank you so much

Hi Marlene, wonderful video. I am a young female and I am very interested in the art of tailoring. Your program sounds just what I am looking for, a program centered around tailoring! Hopefully in the future I will be able to apply for your incredible program. I am currently working as a certified nursing assistant but I have NO experience in sewing. So hopefully in the coming months I can get some experience with sewing and tailoring so I can gather the skills and become comfortable enough to apply to a program! Take care and peace be with you.
Hi Makenzie. Thank you for your message. I'm happy to hear you're interested in tailoring. Most of my student have little to no experience. When they come to study with me. A good place to start is to learn how to use a thimble and hand stitches. And there are videos for that on our channel. Good luck and please reach out if you have questions.
This was godsend. I've been trying to get the lapel and collar right for ages!! Thank you so much! It was so easy to followalong.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I'll be coming out with some new content very soon.

Beautiful work. Thank You so much. It was I'm searching to make better my collars. The teacher has as greatly capacity to express what she wants to, and it low learn curves of apprentice.
Thank you. I'm glad you learned a lot.
When the collar is attached to the gatment and the garment is then washed and ironed, wouldn't the collar lose it's ehape?
The collard is never washed. It can be dry cleaned and pressed. But more importantly, the pad stitches allow it to maintain it's shape.
@@americanbespoketailoring Ok. Thanks for answering.
I missed it!! I'm going to your website!
Excellent, great job.
I don't understand how people who can successfully use thimbles have the manual dexterity and strength on their middle finger to push a needle through with it.
You don’t need strength in your middle finger. The force does not come from the middle finger. Note that when Ms Franke pushes the needle through, her middle finger does not extend out; it stays in the same position relative to the rest of her hand. The force on the needle comes from her hand and (although it’s not in the picture) forearm moving as one.
Thank you that was useful...a refugee friend from Afghanistan living in Indonesia...
Hoping things are going well.
Thanh you for sharing!

This video is amazing, veeery well explained! I'm subscribing!
Thank you!
What kind of needle do you use? Is there a specific kind/size for this type of sewing or do you just choose what’s comfortable for you? What “tool” are you using to wet your under collar? Is it a sponge of some kind?
I'm using a John James 2.5 cm needle. And the tool I'm using to we the collar is just some cheap gotten rolled up and tired together. Thanks for your interest and question.
This could be complete game changing!! How do I find out more?
the-abta.com
Basting comes in handy for machine stitching perfectly straight seams, because you don't have to start and stop a lot to remove pins or readjust edges.
Oooh, I'm on tenterhooks!
Me too... ❤️🙏

Thank you, really useful and so simple!
I received the email to get updates on the courses and in the email it says to use a code for a 10% savings at checkout. However there is no code given in the email. How do I get the code?
You should have received a follow up email after signing up. But the code is ABTAWORKSHOP. Enjoy!
Thanks you
Sounds good. Am interested
I’d like to see how this stitch is used.
It's mainly used to secure the arm scye. This depends of course on the type of tailoring your doing.
American Bespoke Tailoring Academy Do you mean secure the sleeve to the armscye?
Great! Please what certification do ABTA gives, the cost and what's the duration of the program?
