To solve the problemm go away from town and come back several times. Every time you turn back some of the Monolithians it will come outside the house to fight you so you can kill them outside. For me worked,

I do not know what specs mean, all i can say is that i play on a gaming laptop with a crap fan. sorry XD (also i pause often in my recordings to take breaks)
