I have this exact same recipe. I tried key limes, regular limes and Nelly & Joe's Key West Lime juice. By far the best was when I used Nelly & Joe's and a regular lime for zest, and also for the glaze. I've been keeping lard around, so I will probably use that instead of shortening the next time I make one. It really is a delicious cake.
