I wish this series was available to stream or on DVD.
Gang Ranch is not east of Williams Lake, It’s southwest of Williams Lake, and it in the “Canadian Bare Country”.
I’ve seen Don McCune once before I moved to Seattle in 1973, On June 17, 1967, he was in the Egg Day Parade, riding the horse and wearing a Maverick Tie, which is the Boomerang shaped bow tie. In 1974, I repeat Don McCune by seeing him on the KOMO parking lot, he even showed up on the streets twice in the 1980’s when I used to performed on the streets with a Trumpet, Also from 1980 to 1985, I saw him at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, on 145th street, in north Seattle, and from 1987 to the early 1990’s, I saw him at Wooden Cross Lutheran Church, between Woodinville and Duvall. From 1967 to 1991, I saw him 210 times in person, and on March 27, 1993, Don McCune died, he was 74.
He must of died of old age is why they had to cut it short.
I wish there were more reporters like Don McCune, a sportsman, adventurer and man of journalistic integrity.
Clips to entice you to buy: www.donmccunelibrary.com/
What was the purpose of this little clip if you're not going to show more??
Wheres the rest of it. I worked there both for the 2 Americans and then later for Alsager.
How was it working for the Alsagers ? Was it as dysfunctional as written in the book ?
@@michaelkennedy4444 I didn't notice it being 'malfunctional' at all. Actually, I liked it better then. Had a good cowboss. It was kinda wild in ways. Never saw a horsetrailer. Trotted a lot of miles. Packed my string to move from camp to camp etc.
@@Bronco-1776 I hear it’s back in Canadian hands , apparently Douglas Lake Ranch bought it off the Saudi owners .
@@michaelkennedy4444 I probably should have gone to work at Douglas Lake Ranch too, back then.
Truely the finest outdoor exploration show ever. I was so lucky to see and hear adventures from the Pacific Northwest. All of us kids followed in your foot steps and climbed mountains, canoed rivers, fished streams, backpacked the regional national parks, etc and still do.
I miss Don McCune. His voice is like a warm blanket. Good memories. :o)
Ahh, where's the rest of it? Such a good lead-in...
