Gord on the road
Приєднався 28 лип 2014
I'm starting a year-long roadtrip in my 2010 prius that I converted into a camper. Come along for the ride.
How I removed the passenger seat in my Prius camper and installed a countertop! #CarLife #TinyCamper
In this video I show you how I removed my front seat without disabling the airbag system, and how I built a storage cabinet in its place! This is for entertainment purposes only, I don't recommend doing this if you are not an expert in car mechanics.

How I added cabinets AND a bookshelf to my Prius camper. #TinyCamper! #Carlife

I installed cabinets and even a bookshelf in the back of my Toyota Prius that I converted into a tiny camper. Living out of such a small space like a car requires organisation, and clutter can drive you crazy. Now, all my daily use gear is organised, let me show you how I did it. Dang. I can't hear it :(
This is really cool. Did you just have the Prius or did you get it for this?
@@AapVanDieKaap Thanks! I had it. I was looking into van builds, but couldn't afford it. Then I stumbled upon other Prius campers on UA-cam and realized I could give that a go.
@@EcoEvoExile Please keep up the content! You have a nice chilled vibe which is very enjoyable.
Just letting you know your audio recording is very quiet, I need to turn my computer volume and video volume to 100% to hear you
@@vsg915 thanks for the feedback. Old footage with bad mics, I was also pretty bummed when I got around to editing. I have better equipment now.
How many miles does your car have on it?
100k
exciting!
@@BubbaStaines thanks!
Great video thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
I have 2012 prius i've been thinking about carcamping and this is exciting to see
@@BubbaStaines just do it! Start by folding the seats and going somewhere local, it's easy. Then you can do more and more if you're having fun. :)
Brill stuff just found ur channel and subbed
Helpful video, thanks. Audio needs adjustment tho.
Adjustment!? It's a disaster. I agree! I did the best I could in post, and I have some better equipment now. I'll do better in the future, thanks for letting me know!
What type of mattress did you go with? It looks like a roll up memory foam. I use a 4" trifold but I'm always looking to see if there's something better. Thank you
Yep, it's 4 inches of memory foam that rolls up. Though I leave it out permanently. I believe it is a standard cot sized mattress, something like 25" wide. I can get you a link if you want.
Great build! Thanks for sharing!
