This animatic is an underrated masterpiece! Edit: Wait, I just realized that this basically confirms that my theory about SR and Xiphos are Weaponized SOUL *CRYSTALS!!!* And not like 'summon the Soul Crystal to do THIS' sort of thing, but actual melee weapons... man, the one time that I wish I was wrong
Or at least, that's what Xiphos' flashbacks are hinting

Good animation! I have a theory that the lady was Drannus in disguise, he turned Rose into a sword and made him evil, then he did the same to Xiphos and he took away some of his memories, that’s why Xiphos hates him, Drannus is the reason his brother is bad
But what if it was Karina
I really love this theory, just one small thought: what about Hera? Remember, she was the one who gave SR to Bryan in Season 1, so what if SHE was the lady who cursed Xiphos and SR? We all know that Hera's got a vicious streak, so I wouldn't be surprised.
