Forgive me for being a little surprised, but quite an excellent orchestra. The choir were OK but a little "flat", not in pitch, but in energy. "Mary, did you know?" emerged as a delightful exception, clearly, a lot of work had gone into that, revealing the true potential of the choir. The potential is certainly there, so please don't take this negatively, it's intended as constructive criticism. Was nervousness perhaps a factor? Getting back to the music generally, I loved the arrangements, often not exactly easy to play - where did they come from? What started as "Carol of the Bells" took off into the most delightful directions. The concert held so much more interest than what have become the relatively hackneyed arrangements heard so often in Christmas concerts. My one personal disappointment, the sing-along included no actual carols, just songs associated with the season. Oh yes, the encore pieces, particularly the first (know it well, but can't think of its name), but Sleigh Ride as well, were really great. I've finally found a Christmas concert I want to hear again (more than once) and have downloaded it to play on my larger a/v system. Thank you so much to all.

Rhapsody in RWB is one of the most beautiful pieces I have ever heard. I heard it on the radio driving home yesterday and I raced to youtube and found this extraordinary performance.
